Homax Ready-to-Use Popcorn Ceiling Patch Texture - Covers up to 1 sq ft, White, 1 Quart

This is a great product. I did a bit of research. I was between this product and a spray on product, I chose this because I knew I'd have more control over the application. This is my first time but I'm pretty handy and confident that it will be perfect for my needs. I'm patching a 30x15 inch hole in my ceiling where a skylight was removed. To help with the application I thought it would be easier to apply it to my sheet rock pieces prior to installing. I'm attaching pictures of it before it's on the ceiling as well as after, if I can edit in a couple days when I'm finished I will. I plopped it on around used a foam roller to spread it around on fresh bare drywall straight from the store, I am also going to be paint over it as well as my entire ceiling to freshen everything up. I'm hoping it blends in well with the other popcorn that already exists, and being a ceiling I don't see it becoming an issue. I am satisfied with this product, however, I could see how it might br tricky to apply to a large area above your head.

I used this to fix a few bare spots on my popcorn ceiling that were 3-4 inches in diameter. I just used a paint brush to dab and fill in the spots and afer painting they disappeared. I don't know about larger areas, but for smaller repairs it worked great.

Works way better than the spray cans. Tried patching some spots on my ceiling with the spray cans but it looked worse than when I started. Then I found this. MUCH EASIER to get it where you want it and blend it with the rest.

Had a few nail pops & re-screwed off the areas that had the pops.I dabbed a little of this stuff on my finger and squished it into the holes, dabbed it around a little to match texture.Waited for it to dry & voila perfect color & texture match.I don't think it would have worked as good on a larger area (I think the more expensive canned stuff would be better for larger areas) but for very small touch up this was perfect!

I've tried both the spray on & this paint on. The spray on is messier but made a better repair. This paint on was too liquified for it to be good with 1 application. I had to put several applications on the ceiling as the popcorn wasn't thick in this.

Used a brush to touch up ceiling works great after drying no need to paint on white ceiling. looks the same as rest of ceiling great product long lasting

The texture 'corns' were more like large pieces of sand. Nothing larger than half the size of a BB and very sparse. Super soupy even after stirring/mixing vigorously. I didn't have much faith but thought, "maybe a chemical reaction will kick in and it will fine when it dries". So I applied some and it took for ever to dry and I was right, it looked nothing like a popcorn ceiling. Should have known better and made my own from some joint compound to start with b/c that's what I ended up doing and it looks so much better. This stuff is a waste of money.

Rain leaked onto ceiling leaving a bare spot about 1 foot square. Applied this with a sponge and it turned out great. Cannot tell there was ever a bare spot. Great product.
