Works well and sounds good
My son is a beginner and this flute has worked well for him. Sounds good and he doesn’t need any help with putting it together or taking it apart.

Better than I expected, however...
The media could not be loaded. It's been over 10 years since I played the flute. I was a concert flutist in High School and had the sudden urge to play again, but did not want to invest thousands of dollars in a professional flute. I saw this $80 flute on Amazon and decided it was worth the risk of trying it out.My first impression was that the flute is GORGEOUS! Great packaging, very shiny finish and the case is lovely. It came with a cleaning kit, a greaser for putting it together, and cloth gloves if that's your thing.Sound Quality - I've been playing it for about 3 weeks and my tone and sound has improved from practice. I struggle with the really high notes and need a much tighter embrochure than comfortable. Overall, I am satisfied with the sound quality for practicing purposes, but I would be concerned for playing in a concert, as the tone and sound quality can be challenging to get consistent on a cheaper instrument.Keys and Handling - The keys are very responsive, but do produce a clicking sound from the key pads when playing. Again, not a big deal for practicing but it is noticeable. The key placements are comfortable and consistent with my prior intermediate flute.Warning! - This is a nickle plated instrument! My chin and bottom lip was red and irritated after only 3 days of practicing. So if you have skin sensitivities then I would advise that you purchase Pro Tec LP1 Flute Lip Plate Patches on Amazon. I haven't had any skin issues since I purchased the lip plate patches so I am happy about that.Overall great flute for practicing or students learning for the first time. However, I would not reccomend a cheap $80 flute for concert or band performances. Upgrade when you are confident and ready!I have uploaded a video of me playing a Theme Song for your reference.

Quality instrument without breaking the bank!
Obviously you’re not going to get the quality of a Gemeinhardt at this price but this is a solid beginner instrument! Sound quality and durability was excellent. I played consistently for 8 years and wanted to get back into playing again for fun, my flute from that time is ready for retirement and I didn’t want to spend hundreds if not thousands on another one. This hit the highest of notes and lowest of notes with ease, sounds amazing. It functions extremely well for its price point! The accessories with it are perfect for maintenance as well and comes in a nice case to get you by. I was very satisfied for what I got! Definitely recommend if you’re just getting into playing or if you want to pick it back up again!

NOT Repairable....
I can NOT recommend this to anyone. I understand not wanting to spend $250-$300 on an instrument for a child beginning band, however, the issues these can have (and unable to be repaired) could easily discourage a child away from pursuing their lessons. This flute is NOT playable for me and I have resorted to only using it for fingering/keying practice whilst I await the arrival of the $299 Jean Paul Flute I ordered the day this Glory arrived showing huge signs of disappointment.Primary problems out of the box:*Head joint entirely too loose, moves around A LOT during play and constantly moving it out of tune*Air leaks from several keys*B-flat key closes itself at even the slightest tilt of the flute forward*Cleaning cloth that came with it is too thick/large and not quite soft enough...the size having serious potential of getting stuck and pulling on keys

I bought a used flute
Learned from Buying a used. All, I'm qualified to Advertise. But one of these, instead of a used flute from somewhere.Because, it's brand new, obviously New pads, and Sent out ready to play. And it does!!! Perfect!!!I bought a used before, not same experience

Flute is cute.
First - the package was left outside my mailbox for the entire world to drive by and see. The box had FLUTE marked on it. And it was drenched. The flute case was so wet inside that I had to lay it open to dry it. Now for the flute itself. It’s cute, plays -eh ok. Sound is produced for the first 2 octaves. It’s just impossible to move above high C-D. The instrument isn’t quite airtight. You can hear the breathy/airy sounds on -F,down to Eb.For the money it’s decent, ok as a starter instrument but for $40 more you can get a better quality although not as cute, instrument.
