I am a frequent Amazon customer and have never encountered any issues when obtaining replacements under warranty for products. However, the purchase of this Godrej Lock was an exception. After using it for a month, I found myself unable to open the lock after securing my gate. This created a rather embarrassing situation, as I was unable to enter my home due to the gate being locked.Despite multiple attempts, I could not unlock it. Ultimately, after gently tapping all sides of the lock with a small hammer several times, it finally opened. I then reached out to Amazon for a replacement. However, Amazon simply redirected me to Godrej for warranty replacement. I sent several emails to Godrej, but none received a response. Eventually, I called them and was given the contact number of a local support representative. Upon reaching out to him, he informed me that the company had stated that only items valued over Rs 500 could be replaced!Therefore, I urge those considering Godrej, given their reputed goodwill, to avoid this company as they do not adequately address customer complaints. Better products can be found directly through Amazon. I will not be purchasing any Godrej products in the future.
