Rii X8 Mini Keyboard,2.4GHz Portable Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad Mouse,RGB Backlit,Rechargeable Battery for Android TV Box/Mac/PC/Nvidia Shield

I have roughly 3-5 of these, bought them on different accounts in different countries for different people, and have had them for over 3 years. I've had many different portable keyboards, yet this one take the absolute top prize #1 greatest portable key board of all time, and here's why:1. Construction: This thing is insnaley durable, have never had one break, even thought it's been flung dropped and taken all over the world, its obviously made from cheap plastic but it's thickness gives it a stronger feel, compared to other similar keyboards, while still keeping it slim and functional.2. Buttons: its buttons are nothing out of this world the same as basically every portable keyboard, however its button layout and additional scroll wheel are unmatched. Having the on/off ontop of the machine as a switch is fantastic at keeping battery life yet easy to tell given it's placement. Along with the track pad and other buttons, I feel as capable on this tiny keyboard as I do on a full size one. I've done many presentations with this in one hand behind my back because it's just so easy to handle and use blindly.things that aren't great is the battery life, but I'll take crappy battery for insnaley great and responsive portable keyboard

I have had this for about 4 months now and it still works just fine. As a teacher, I utilize it in my classroom to navigate the smartboard from different areas of the room. I love it because I can click on links, type stuff, and navigate websites without needing to be at the board. It is also nice because you don't have to worry about using the big bulky regular keyboard or worrying about needing a flat surface to use the mouse. It is compact and fits perfectly in your back pocket so you're not constantly trying to find it around the room. It is very kid user friendly, and my students have no issue using it for whole group activities. I feel like it stays charge for awhile, I don't notice that I charge it frequently like another remote I had. It does shut off after not using it for a few minutes but if you press any key, it will wake back up.

Very responsive and well thought out buttons.I appreciate the inclusion of a scroll wheel. It is very easy to use.There hasn't been a button I've missed as I've used my PC. Through the base layout or the button modifiers (fn, etc...) I can use shortcuts or anything else I need.The only downside is it's weak wireless performance. For it to consistently connect to the included dongle the device needs direct line of sight. It was useable for me hidden behind the tv. But it would regularly disconnect. So line of sight is imperative.

I've just built this cnc machine and I keep looking for improvements. One huge upgrade was to install a standalone windows 11 pro computer system. Now I can design something in Fusion 360, put it into my Vectric software to develop the gcode program, all on my laptop. I send the completed gcode program to the cnc computer via Bluetooth or wifi. I run the program completely on the cnc computer system.I'm using a used mini desktop HP computer, with a new 7" monitor (no touchscreen). The Rii handheld keyboard is how I run the entire cnc system.The computer system runs windows 11 pro, just like any other windows computer. I only keep the program that runs my cnc, and the completed gcode files on the cnc computer. I have 2 laptops, one in the shop, and one in the living room, where I can work on fusion and vectric files. I send the vectric gcode files directly to the cnc computer by either wifi or Bluetooth from either laptop.I had a similar handheld keyboard, which would get irratic at times, so I sent it back to Amazon and went bought the Rii. I've not had one problem using the Rii. I completely control the CNC and run software with it.The entire computer system, including the Rii keyboard cost less than $100. It's worth every penny, and then some, not to be tethered to a laptop. I tripped over the usb parallel cable between my cnc and laptop, sending my laptop hard onto the concrete floor, and disconnecting it while the cnc was running, ruining the job. Luckily I have a very sturdy HP 840 elitebook, built for abuse, which survived the fall.I can leave the cnc running while I leave the room to do other things and not worry. It's on an old microwave cabinet on wheels, so the entire machine can be pushed out of the way. The machine starts when I run the gcode program, then parks and turns off when the program completes.As a woman with small hands, I've found the Rii easy to hold and use. It's not awkward at all. I also have a small, rectangular mini keyboard, but kept dropping it. It was too long for me to maneuver.I have arthritis and problems in my hands from building guitars over the years. I also have early onset Parkinsons. So, I've dropped the Rii a couple of times. The build quality is great and there are no chips or breaks.The Rii has never dropped a connection. I really don't even think about it. I switch it on and the connection is immediate. It'll go into a power save mode and turn off when not used. I just hit escape, the space bar, or enter, and it immediately comes back on, connected. It's never searched for a connection after going to sleep, like many keyboards.I've installed a multiplug ac surge suppressor, which includes USB plugs as well as grounded plugs. Everything on the cnc is plugged into it. I keep a mini USB cord plugged in and when I'm done with the controller, I just plug it in, then store the controller on the cnc table or in the drawer for use next time.

exactly what i was looking for. it's great for a media pc. it's got fantastic connectivity, and the keys and touchpad are very responsive. the backlight is nice and bright as well. feels well built and fits nicely in my hands. the only minor complaint i have about it is that the F and J keys do not have key bumps, and makes it a little challenging to type quickly without looking down. still highly recommend it!

I was surprised at how small, yet functional it was. I'm really in love with the thing. It does everything in a compact package. There's a lot of functions to remember, but after you get the hang of it, it's really become one of my favorite PC gadgets.

Feels cheap, pretty small, touchpad is not enjoyable to use. It's less hasstle to get up and use the keyboard at the desktop or use the touchscreen of your phone/streaming device than it is to fiddle with the touchpad on this. Beats entering letters one by one with arrow keys on a remote though. If you need a super compact keyboard that fits in your hands for basic youtube searching, then this could suit your needs. Must have some patience for the touchpad though, it is worse than the ones on my old compaq laptop from 2001.
