Arrived in good condition and is producing power

he panel arrived well-packaged and was paired with a Bluetti AC180. I'm not sure how many watts this panel is supposed to produce, as I don't know much about solar efficiencies, but it only produced 130 watts on a sunny day in Florida. To be fair, it will charge the Bluetti during the day if your plan is to charge it while the sun is out and use the stored power at night. However, if you're also using the Bluetti during the day—even with a small load—you may need at least one more panel to keep it fully charged for nighttime use.Remember, the effective charging power going to the battery is calculated as:Solar panel output (watts) – Power usage (watts) = Net charging power. So in my case, if I’m running an 85-watt refrigerator during the day and the panel is producing 130 watts, only 45 watts are actually going toward charging the battery for nighttime use.

New N-type high efficiency photovoltaic panels

I buy a lot of solar panels and have been working with solar energy since 1992. These N-type cells offer some significant advantages and represent another step forward with their increased efficiency and promise of less degradation in year one, which can be significant. They also tend to produce a bit more energy in hot weather than do traditional PERC mono crystalline cells. Not a huge difference, but then again these panels are priced very well at 80¢ per watt right now. This is orders of magnitude cheaper than conventional panels 20 years ago, and with higher efficiency. Upon inspection they look great, they were packed very well in strong boxes, and they put out slightly better than 100 watts as specified in my testing. Try them, you will not be disappointed.

Renogy is popular for a reason

With the explosion of home/recreational battery back-up systems Renogy has stepped up it's game to support this market with quality, reasonably priced solar panels. Typical Bus Bar connections in many panels is about 9 or 10BB, these Renogy panels have 16BB and bumps efficiency to about 24%, this is good. My system can handle up to 150VOC, the Renogy 24V/200W panels have a VOC of 37.4 V each so I maxed out at 4-24V panels for 800W and on good sun days I get 800W incoming. However, had I thought about it a little more I would have gone with the Renogy 12V/200 Watt panels. The 12V version has a VOC of 24.48V so I could have got 6-12V panels for a total of 1200W of solar. Done make my mistake if that's the way you want to go.

Pulling in 240w from only 200w of panels

I've been using my other 2 Renogy 100 watt P-type solar panels on my sailboat for about 3 years, on a good sunny day I average about 140-150 watts input from those two panels. But these N-type seem to be a game changer.. According to the display on my Ecoflow solar charger on a sunny day (like it is at this particular moment), it is showing an input varying from about 180w to as high as 238w input coming from these two 100w panels! -- How can that be? How am I getting nearly 240watts out of 200watts of panel? The only drawback for me is that I don't think I can use all 4 of them (both my 2 old P-type with these 2 new N-type panels) connected to the same system (at least I presume not), but that's fine, I'll just connect my 2 old P panels to a separate battery, and use these highly efficient N panels for my primary battery bank.Bottom line, these N type panels perform far beyond what my expectations were - so much so that I almost wonder if it's a malfunction, because I dont comprehend how 200watts of panels is actually outputting way over it's rated capabilities during peak sun.. Which is great, but should it be? I don't know, but so far its proved to be extreamly efficient

I'm happy.. okay buying solar panels from this company

I like this panel it's pretty good.. puts out about almost 90 Watts which is very good.. and I like the fact that it's smaller than the other vRenergy 100 w I have

Durable, mountable, very nice size

Purchased to mount on a small camper trailer, out of the box it was getting 180w even on a sub-optimal angle. The aluminum framing is very sturdy- and even double-walled which is very useful if you're drilling through it and attaching fittings. The corners are solid reinforced as well. After mounting on an adjustable tilt mount my father in law and I made it was still rocking a near perfect capture wattage. In slight cloud cover it was still getting 120w at again, sub-optimal angles. in pure sun it was touching 190w.

Excellent construction and design.

Easy to set up. The mounting brackets are nice. I made a frame out of 1"x2" wood with adjustable angles to maximize the efficiency year round.

Best performance for your dollar.

I have 3 of the 100 watt panels in service for about a year. 1 is flat mounted on a truck, the other two are on a rack wired in parallel. They are fantastic. The flat panel will pull down 70 watts during the late spring, summer, and early fall. There's nothing more severe than mounting a panel to a motor vehicle and this unit has proven it is durable. The two mounted on a rack are setup at 45 degrees and will routinely pull down 195-200 watts (95 to 100 watts each!) per my Victron MPPT controller. It's April here in Oregon, and on a sunny day I'm averaging 1.2 kilowatts with these two panels. You can't ask for better performance. They've held up to PNW weather without issue. I'll be buying a pair of 200 watt panels for my trailer soon. While the rest of Renogy's product line is pretty mediocre, their solar panels are fantastic. Buy with confidence.
