I have been impressed with this simple, yet very effective garden weeding tool! It’s so simple to use. Simply stick it over the weed, push down with the assistance of the foot pad, release your foot and rock the entire tool back. Weed comes out from root to top. Easy!Here are the reasons I really love it. No assembly. It’s one piece.Hoeing gets the job done faster, but this tool prevents accidental hacking of the plants and flowers you want to keep. And hoeing usually cuts the weeds in half and doesn’t get to the roots. It can get tedious to remove weeds one by one with this tool, but it’s worth it in my opinion.No bending, stooping, or kneeling. This has spared my bad back and knees.I’ve been able to remove weeds growing through my creeping phlox without disturbing it. I’ve also been able to remove weeds growing tight against the edge of the walkway and sometimes in between shrub roots.It’s also effective in hard to reach places. I’ve been able to remove weeds under thick shrubs by simply shoving the tool underneath and into the ground without using the footpad (because I can’t reach under with my foot) and rocking it back. 8 out of 10 times it’s been successful using it that way!No more weed killer. It’s not good for our ground water since we’re on well water and I don’t have to worry about my grapes and blueberries being poisoned.It also works on tree seedlings and saplings. We have ash and tulip trees sprouting up in the beds all the time and this tool removes those, too, by the root!So far it’s been indestructible even after heavy usage (we have multiple very large beds)! The one thing I have to say is that if your soil has been getting a lot of rain, it can clog up in between the prongs. I’ve whacked and banged the prongs on garden boulders and our retaining walls to knock the clumps out. It takes the beating like a champ. The piece as a whole is super solid and very well made.Just be aware that if you have mulch, the mulch can jam in between the prongs and sometimes takes effort to remove. Other than that, it’s such a great piece that other family members have since bought their own based on my experiences.

Works great! We are senior citizens and appreciate the length and ease of using it. No assembly required. Sturdy wooden handle and metal, not too heavy and we don't have to bend much to remove the weeds from it. It is actually kinda addicting to use.....we are always saying...just one more weed and we will quit...but continue on. It is easiest to use and remove weeds when the soil is not moist.

Wow I wish I'd purchased this fantastic weeder a year ago! It is light and works 1000 times better than the heavier and more expensive weeder we purchased from a local name home improvement store. This tool is so easy to use, and it really grips the weed and successfully pinches and lifts it out - root and all, with very little effort. The other weeder we used didn't grasp the weed and would not pull out the root it usually just cut it below the soil. This weeder pulls out a lot less soil than the other weeder - mostly root. If you have weeds in your yard, I highly recommend you purchase this weeder immediately.

Need some weeds? Please, come to my home and take all you need or want because my lawn is 98% weeds. I try to stay on top of the problem with a kneeling pad, a hand-held weeder and some elbow grease...but it just persists and I get discouraged. Then the weeds have a rave of an orgy and there's even MORE. Fertilizer doesn't make a dent. The weeds just laugh and somehow get BIGGER AND STRONGER. Time for the big gun. I caved and bought this as a last resort. When it arrived, I beelined it out the door and read my sea of weeds their last rights. Then I read the instructions and prepared for WAR.Here's how it went down...the first victim's execution went quite well. So well in fact, I nearly cried!! Weeping over an invasive species seems a bit dramatic but remember... 98% coverage here, people!!!After my tears of joy evaporated in the warm July evening, I started plucking away. I think I cleared about 15% in about 30 minutes. This guy is pretty effective!BUT...He's not perfect. Each weed removal leaves a pretty sizeable hole in its wake. My concern is...will the remaining weeds retaliate and plug the hole up with need weed seed? NOOOOOOOOO!!!Also, there have been a few passes in which this weeder is unsuccessful in removing the entire root - which, if you have ever tried to rid a weed without removing the entire root - which will result in weed reincarnation. IT WILL (PROBABLY) COME BACK!To be fair, the weeder has also remove its fair share of WHOLE weeds, root and all. Kind of a crap shoot. The moral of the story though is this: if you have weeds, this is a must buy. It will save your back, your lawn, and whatever's left of your sanity.

This thing is magical! Works perfectly and so satisfying to use. Pulls all sizes of weeds. Super easy. Easy on back and knees. Pretty light weight but sturdy. Really well made. Our 7 year old is having a blast with it. Great way to make a chore fun 😊

I am so happy that I purchased the grandpa’s weeder! I am 69 years old and after many years of landscaping, my previous home, discovered it’s a little more challenging twenty years later. Weeding can be difficult if you have any back issues. I found that this weeder definitely works and even removes blackberry vines that saves me injury from thornes and saves my back. I did find it worked much better in softer soil.It is a very well made product, this tool will last many years.This is my new favorite tool!
