So far so good, reasonable quality for purchase if lasts
Looks exactly as picture and so far appears reasonable - just need to see how long lasts. Free 3 year warranty (simple REGISTRATION required). Read the small instruction pamphlet for use before powering on is advised (how to fully reset is however given). Very impressed by dab sound quality. Quite loud so recommend ear phones if others not liking music. Only tried battery operated so far. Not a model to ditectly link with ear buds as far as could see. Time will tell but looks a reasonable buy for the money.

Happy with my purchase and would recommend for someone looking for a simple basic radio.
I was looking for a cheap radio to use in the home office and did not want to spend a lot, just after an easy to use radio that does the job - need not have been DAB or super sound but glad I got this. Having received this the other day was pleasantly surprised. Set up was simple - just turn in on, presetting stations was a bit fiddly but not difficult and really the type of thing you do once anyway It does not have individual preset channel buttons, so changing preset stations involves pressing a few buttons each time, but its straightforward - besides I just tend to listen to the same station all day. We live in an area with a terrible signal, and this works better than other more expensive radios in other parts of the house. The sound quality if good, better than expected for the price. It's a compact size and aesthetically attractive. The ability to change brightness and having sleep and alarm functions are bonus features, so would be good as a bedside radio-alarm. All in all, happy with the purchase and would recommend for someone looking for a simple basic radio.

Great little radio
I love this little radio. It has good sound for its size, and although it looks very slim, its clever design means that it is very stable, as small slim radios are usually very easy to knock over. It is wider at the base, but this is tapered so that it is not visible unless you look at the back. The buttons are easy to use and their functions are clear. The instructions are clearly written. Great value.

Disapointed
Poor sound quality and screen not working. I have two Majority Little Shelfords which I've had for around five years and am very impressed by. As such when i needed another radio I went stright to Majority, unfortunatley this product is no where near the quality I expected and I had to return it.

£20 Bargain portable DAB and Alarm Clock
OK, the bottom line: for £20 this is an incredibly good buy. Overall I'm delighted. One or two points: Sound quality is OK - absolutely fine for speech radio not so hot for music, but acceptable for all except HiFi fans. Its not so clear from pics but it is wedge shaped so wider at base which aids stability at bedside etc. Plasticky but fairly solid. Absolute doddle to set up. DAB reception seems very good and digital delay same as on Pure brand radios so no annoying echos if you have both on at same time. Led display is older generation blocky text but perfectly fine (unless you need strong glasses). I'm using as bedside alarm clock with rechargeable batteries (don't know how long they last yet DABs usually eat batteries....hence only 3 stars but I really don't know yet!). As an alarm clock: buttons too similar and small for me on a groggy wake up (hence 3 stars) but I usually just want to be awoken by Radio 4 so not a problem. What is a bigger issue is the display on waking up defaults to the useless scrolling info strip (the Today program is news and current affairs - who knew?) When off It shows date/time and alarm status - excellent. I'd REALLY like it to default to date /time when it wakes so I can keep an eye on when to get up. Nice that you can preset wake up radio volume to be different to volume used to last listen normally. Wakes you up with last station you listened to or buzzer. Switching off and on reverts display to scrolling info - I'd prefer date time as default but hey-ho. Size-wise it's about small paperback book size. Power block plug quite small and connection is by the dreadful but ubiquitous micro USB (USB C too much to hope for at this price/design age I suppose). Haven't bothered to try FM. This is an amazing little radio for the price. Highly recommended especially if you just want speech radio. UPDATE: Battery life, as feared has proven to be AWFUL. A full set of Ikea rechargeable 2450mAh AA's lasted three days with 30 mins radio use - looks like the clunky led display eats power. Still a great radio but only practical for use plugged in. I'd happily pay double for a radio with better battery life, bigger cancel button and recharging built in. Maybe look at smaller more expensive (£35) Eddington model?
