CableJive dockStubz Charge Converter and 30-pin Pass Through Adapter for iPhone, iPod, and iPad

Wow, it's amazing how something so simple can bring a smile to my face...Without this device my Iphone 4 would not charge on my Logic i-Station 8 docking system, giving just a few hours of use as i watched the battery get drained fairly rapidly.Fortunately this product seems to work perfectly well, now charging my iphone 4 the instant it is connected and playing the music faultlessly.It can take a couple of times for the system to recognise the Iphone correctly, but this was a problem even before i started using this connector, i guess due to the age gap between devices.However, once connected the i-station shows the track being played in the i-station window, the remote control can be used to skip tracks, the volume / treble / bass all work fine - The only thing that didn't work was the skip album which i rarely used anyway.Just to add: i have downloaded an app from itunes called 'TuneShell' which is a 'graphic equalizer / visualiser' etc which comes in a free or pay version, and have to say this app is worth every single penny and makes this particular setup sound / look amazing for such a tiny system as the bass / treble can be tweaked on the 10 band equalizer - Highly recommended !Conclusion:A very highly recommended product for this particular setup / combo - Don't think twice about buying, fantastic bit of kit!

I've been looking for a device like this for some time.I have a great dock (old Apple pin configuration) which doesn't charge my Ipod, annoying as it's such a great device in every other way, and I didn't want to replace it just for this one failing.Thankfully Amazon had the answer.I purchased the CableJive adapter and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone with the same problem I had, to use a well worn phrase "it does exactly what it says on the tin".For the money you cant go wrong, simple and effective, and from what I can tell the only device of it's type.I'd recommend taking any connected device from the dock whilst attached to the adapter to avoid putting any unnecessary strain on the connector, otherwise the design and functionality are faultless, if 'CableJive' had supplied a supporting insert as part of the package I'd give this a 5* rating!.CableJive dockStubz Charge Converter and 30-pin Pass Through Adapter for iPhone, iPod, and iPad

I bought this device in order to connect my iPad via the Camera Connection Kit to an external USB device (the Scarlett 18i2 audio interface) and to be able to charge it at the same time. The product description suggests that this will be possible without stating it directly and one review here on Amazon stated explicitly that this would work. My experience is that this DOES NOT WORK (it does not charge) and I have now found out that the manufacturers are aware of the issue:[...]So don't buy the dockStubz if you want to charge while connected to the CCK. My one star review is based on my disappointment of discovering this after purchase. For other uses the dockStubz may well be adequate.

I bought this to use with my Lifeproof case, which I now use full time, and pretty much cripples its capabilities with anything but a standard Apple charger.This adapter fits as specified, but it does sprain back the charger cover on its hinge. It isn't much, but it is enough to worry me into not using as much as normally would hope to. Looking at it, I cannot see why the design isn't changed to bring the bulky end of the adapter to the front instead of the back. If it was, then there would be no pressure on the case (or any other case, as far as I can tell.I can only give it 3 stars, just because I'm worried that this thing will ultimately break my case.

I really rate this little miracle, I have an ipod dock that cost near £200 and is of superb quality, my ipod broke and my iphone was incompatible with it as it used the old analogue charging connector. so i debated for months what to do as new ipods would also be incompatible and my dock was therefore useless.This product upgraded my dock connection to work with my iphone 4s and now my expensive dock is usable again all for £20 wow what a product - also sound quality when playing music remains unchanged and the dock charges my phone too - excellent piece of kit!

Wish I’d got the bovee first

Got this as a result of buying latest iPod Nano 6th gen only to find that my new Nano would not charge up in my (old-ish) Bose Soundock, Logic 3 alarm clock/dock and 1st Gen B&W Zeppelin. Apparently something to do with Apple changing the wiring in latest iPods (& iPhones?)from firewire (or something like)although the Apple Store doesnt stock anything like this (or aware that such a device exists).This little beaut was the answer to my "problem" with the added bonus that I have the option to charge or not charge now whilst playing my iPod.Super. The adapter does get a little hot when charging so take it out when not in use. Tiny cool red light on its body shows when plugged in dock too!
