Amazing HD Video !!!
I use these Birdfy cameras in birdhouses, and the picture quality is incredible—just like watching an HD nature show. Setting them up is a breeze, and the phone/laptop interface is intuitive and user-friendly. The cameras are made from sturdy materials, ensuring durability over time. I've connected mine to a solar panel, and it has never lost connection. Even at about 100 feet from my router, the signal remains strong. If you're a nature lover who wants to experience wildlife in HD clarity, I highly recommend these cameras!

Easy to install, great quality video
I already own the Birdfy feeder and love it. The Birdfy Cam is another wonderful product that can easily be installed to capture a different location. It comes with multiple installation options. Loved that I could attach it to a pole as I plan to hang hummingbird feeders in the spring. The solar panel works well and keeps it charged and I never have to bring it inside to charge. It captures a wide view for videos and images and they are of great quality. This is a great addition to my backyard and is very easy to install and use, recommend this for all bird lovers.

Very nice set up
I’d received the Birdfy Bird Feeder Duo for Christmas and got hooked on it so decided I needed the stand-alone cam to spy on the nearby bird bath. The camera is good though maybe not as good as the feeder ones. I’d used a trail camera tied to the same tree and it got more of a close up view but this is still very good. Even in a dappled sun situation from the tree mount the solar panel is getting enough light to keep it charged. I bought some clamp mounts so I can move the camera to our hummingbird feeder to play with it there. Gets a great signal and was easy to add to the app. It didn’t come with the AI bird ID and I didn’t add it because I have it on the nearby feeder and am not terribly impressed with it. That feature needs work. It sometimes will ID the bird as a species that wouldn’t be in this part of the world. And I gave up on trying to correct it. But it mostly gets them right. I’m really loving seeing the owls and other critters that visit that bird bath at night. The infrared does an excellent job.

Easy to install & use Birdfy Camera with Solar Panel
The media could not be loaded. I had several cameras on bird feeders in my yard. I had 1 Birdfy Lite feeder w/camera, and 2 cheaper outdoor security cameras. All 3 have solar panels . When I had an opportunity to test the Birdfy camera (separate from the feeder) I wanted to see how it compared. The Birdfy definitely holds a charge longer, and the solar panel charges better. (The one that comes with Birdfy is larger than the security camera panel) The video quality on the Birdfy camera is good. I just cleaned and refilled my feeder so I’ll have to wait to see how the motion detection and recording works, but I expect it to be fine. I think comparing how the Birdfy holds up to the elements , compared to the outdoor security cameras will be a good long term test. But I’m happy with the camera , it’s easy to setup and the parts included to attach to a pole make installation easy.

Not Made Well For Outdoors
This camera should not have an IP65 weatherproof rating in my opinion. After one rain storm, water got inside of my camera causing some damage. The camera still works with a lot of its functions, but there was enough water that got into it to cause enough damage for concern. There is a cover that can seal over the ports, but there are so many openings to where the water can get into the camera if the cover is not securely put on. Even if the cover is fitted on, there is still a chance water can get in. Also, to note, it is important to detach the wires from the solar panel from the camera after charging it and placing the port cover on before bedtime or at nightfall, because morning condensation will leak through the ports if you don't handle that every day. The USB-C port already has a bit of water damage to it and water got into the internal camera lens creating a fog that I am unable to get rid of after a day of trying to let the camera dry out. Again, I don't think that this camera can survive the outdoors 24/7 without more added waterproofing. I am thinking that the birdfeeder sold with the camera does provide the camera with extra protection, but I bought the Birdfy Lite Cam without the feeder because I had a better squirrel proof birdfeeder than the one sold with the camera. Anyway, storms, humidity, and condensation are a cause for concern with this camera by itself. As for the app, I can't really give a full review on it because I have only used the camera for a few days. I will say the app is pretty basic to use, but I have not learned all of the ways to use it. There is a subscription you have to purchase to take advantage of the AI, but now, I am out of money for the first month of the basic subscription because the camera fog ruins the purpose of the AI to identify the birds. My girlfriend assisted me with getting in contact with Netvue customer support to at least see if I can somehow fix the fog in the lens, but the trouble shooting information they gave me over email is not helpful with the problem. I am going to see if I can get a hold of them again to fix the problem. I am adding one star (so, a two rating) because they do seem to have a team of customer support specialists to help you, and there seems to be a lot of nice features to use with what seems like a simple app. To add, my wifi also works well with the app, so no problem there. This product definitely has potential to be better, but I don't know how this camera will survive the outdoors overtime by itself without stronger water sealing. Maybe I missed something with the maintenance and care when going over the set-up instructions, but I am up in the air if I should replace the camera or to get a refund if nothing can be fixed. If the lens can be fixed with the fog problem and the small damage around the USB-C port is not a huge cause for concern, then maybe it is worth keeping. Either way, I am hoping customer support can help.

Not good for shady areas
Pros: seems to take decent photos, including in color at night, records sound, has an optional paid app for IDing birds if you need it.Cons: the solar charger does not work in the shade and the cable was not long enough for us to mount it where it would get sun. We had to purchase a separate USB wall outlet charger to get it to work. Seems to be very fragile, as the antenna broke off while setting it up (we got a no charge replacement though). It sends a LOT of alerts for every single little movement and we haven't figured out how to turn them off yet. It seems to have the ability to share the app and camera with another person, but this does not seem to work. My husband keeps authorizing me to access it, but I get no notification that I have access to the camera from the app on my phone.

Works great!
Love the birdfy products. Purchased this for my bluebird house. Gives me peace of mind to monitor the house to keep the birds safe, never have to charge because it’s solar powered. I now have a new birdfy house with dual solar cameras on the way. Can’t wait to receive!
