Fun activity book
Fun activity book for my father-in-law who is in the hospital. It gives him something to do that isn't messy. Don't use much water though, use as little as possible.

Perfect for adults especially the elderly
My 91 yo mother is really enjoying this. She doesn’t have to worry about what color should go where. When she paints the water on, a beautiful colorful picture emerges a bit at a time. Very relaxing, easy and simple!!! And since all you need is water, the brush and book she can take it anywhere and not worry about spills or clean up!

Dementia Approved
I bought this for my mother who has dementia. Thomas Kinkade was her favorite artist so she was surprised and excited to be able to paint his paintings. This water color held her attention for a few hours and is excited to continue working on more paintings.

Great paint with water book
This paint with water book is very detailed and each page offers plenty of different areas to paint with lots of different colors. This is definitely an adult or older child book because of the tiny details. I love that all the pages are paint with water unlike the previous books that had some pages that were just regular coloring pages. Good value for the cost as each page takes a good amount of time to complete.

A Hot Mess!
This is by far the worst paint-with-water book I've ever done. I've done many of these books for relaxation but this is the first one that I've abandoned after trying to paint about 10 of the 36 paintings. The results were so bad that I gave up. Of course, I know they won't look like an original Thomas Kinkade painting but these don't even come close. Most paint with water books have an "edge' at the demarcation line between different colors so they don't run together unless you deliberately blend them. With this book, the colors run together even if you're careful to blot your wet brush before using it. Also, the image uses lots of very small details so there isn't a chance of keeping the paint within the lines, especially with the fat brush that comes with the kit. I use my own brushes and even that didn't help. I waited a long time for this book to drop and what a disappointment. Don't waste your money!

Results may Vary lol
Got this for a beloved senior member of our family. The paper is not super thick for painting with water, but the book jacket does provide a thick folding page to comp for this. The way the book 'works' is that the black lines contain 'watercolor', so, by wetting an area and tracing over the lines, the color can wash into an area that is wet. The person this book was purchased for was unable to get the color 'to work' (90's with acute memory issues) but I passed it on to a person who paints for a living, just as something fun to mess with, and they had no problem getting the color to wash. The book jacket shows such vibrant colors, which led to me having higher expectations than I should have. If you have ever done a 'paint with water' you probably know that the colors are not super bright or vibrant, so I should have known I wouldn't be getting the quality shown on the example card. If you keep your expectations in check, this is a neat product.
