I live in rural Vermont. We have bears. Recently one has been using my land as a path between two bigger forested areas. Twice he started thinking about coming up my stairs and onto my back deck. I got this and set it on its lowest volume. After the first interaction the bear stayed away for a while. I took this down and the bear was seen on video thinking about coming up the stairs again, so I've put it back now on medium volume and I think it will do the trick. Super easy to set up and use. The solar charger on it works really well, this located under a roof and out of direct sun and it still charges via solar.

This was very easy to set. So far it’s working to keep the deer away from my flowers. I am really hoping to see my gorgeous daylilly blossom for the first time in 2 years!!! Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

This works, but it's troublesome to figure it out since the directions are not too good and printed in a very tiny font. If it had not been for another family member helping, I probably would have sent it back.I use it at night to keep raccoons out of our pond, and this is what I do: In the morning I turn it off by pushing the remote button "OFF.' Then I put it in the sun to recharge. At night, I set it up and push the letter "B" on the remote which sets it up for the evening to react to motion. You can test it with a broom or a person, to check to see if it is reacting to movement. The dog sound (or gun shots) takes place when it detects motion, and the light flashes. We've had no raccoons in the 3-4 weeks we have used the "barking machine." Barking dog is plenty loud. For the price, it's worth it, and I'm glad we got it. I took the star off because it was hard to figure out how to use it. I don't know if it can be used without the remote or not.

Having trouble with Raccoons, I set up this device and it works beautifully as a deterrent. I set it to "barking dogs" to operate only at night, and it works beautifully. You can adjust the sound from gunshots, to barking dogs, to a recorded message. Flashing red lights too! Different operational settings are great for whatever your circumstances are, Adjustable volume so you wont disturb your neighbors. I have never had to recharge it. It does get about 6 hours of sun per day and works all night.

Great product! Have it set for night motion activation. When activated ( by a critter) this device "barks like a dog" and flashes red lights.It works great, through rain and wind too!Plus, the price is fantastic!!

It scared off the bear and the coyote and we haven’t seen either one since. But it is still at the ready in case they do decide to come back. Very happy with the purchase.

We had to exchange it for a new one because the remote did not work. The second one seems to be working fine.

I was hoping to scare the deer away from my garden, but I’ve mostly scared myself b ‘cause I keep forgetting this thing in in my garden bed. It has no doubt disturbed the peace for the martins, whose house is above the noise maker. It has not fazed the deer or rabbits, who continue to graze my plants down to nubs. On the bright side, I think it has made the skunk family leave, and that’s a good thing. Skunks hate lights and noise and they had made themselves at home all around my house and garden. Now I think they are gone and that is a relief. They had been more and more established here for the past 3 years and I could not deter them. Within a week of this noisemaker being set up, all sign of skunk is gone. The skunk smell had been everywhere before, and I had seen them all around my house, to the point that I was afraid to go out after dark, but no more. One had even confronted me in the tractor shed. Too close for comfort. But they seem to have bailed out for quieter turf.
