Portable and wearable powerhouse
This thing is an amazing value package.I occasionally do mobile PA and audio recording work. I set up speakers and move around at events with a microphone, play music, and do interviews. This mixer has enough inputs and outputs for me to do all that with ease.I made a wrist rig out of Go-Pro and camera accessories and clamp this mixer, an iphone, microphone receiver, Bluetooth transmitter, USB hub, and battery bank all on one wrist. Its a lot of equipment but I don't feel overburdened and can still use my hand. Being mobile and able to make adjustments on the fly is exceedingly useful.I recommend picking up some of those coiled, stretchy, mini-jack cables for making local connections. That really helps keep wiring under control.I use the app "Go Button" on the iphone which allows me to do all music and sound effects cueing that I need. One important thing to keep in mind is that you WILL need to use specially wired cables for phantom powered applications. You can buy the cables on Amazon no problem, but they aren't exactly your typical cables you might carry around with you. Really, it is kind of a hack application of the cables outside of there main intended purpose. You'll probably want to label them to keep track of them. I very much recommend that so you don't accidently risk breaking something.I wouldn't compare this unit to a studio mixer for recording an album in quality sound, but it is stellar for the on-the-run field work I need it for. I would totally buy another if I broke it.

Mixer Outputs Nonstop Buzz In Background
I bought this product back in Nov 2020 to try and do board game podcasts. Since day one, the mixer gives a buzzing feedback loop that I've now spent two months trying to figure out the problem on and have yet to find a solution. I've attempted the manufacturer's solution of changing outlets, using only the supplied power supply, and adjusting settings on the device itself. I've also tried several basic technician steps to try and alleviate any possible source for the issue like using a ground cable, positioning the device away from any electrical source, testing different microphones, testing different outputs and ports, etc. Nothing has worked and I can only conclude this device is faulty and would not recommend it given I've seen others with the same issue.

Nice product but there are better options to compensate for hearing loss
First, to address an issue raised by other reviewers, I detected no background hum, possibly because I used J&R shielded audio cables.I purchased this Just Mic 4 mixer to selectively increase the volume of the left channel to my headphones in order to compensate for hearing loss in my left ear. The Just Mic 4 works OK for this purpose and produces clear sound but with two caveats: (1) if the input audio signal from my TV or the Just Mic 4 volume sliders are kept away from their maximum settings, the Just Mic 4 works well but otherwise it clips the audio signal, which produces noticeable distortion; and (2) the Just Mic 4 has no controls for treble or bass, which can be useful to shape the frequency response in the case of hearing loss.Due to these two caveats, I returned the Just Mic 4 and replaced it with a Pyle PTAU55 amplifier that does not clip through my headphones and that has control dials for treble, bass, and balance. The Pyle PTAU55 is a better solution than the Just Mic 4 for my hearing loss.

Excellent small footprint mixer for portable use, good versatility.
I really like this little mixer so far. I have not used it extensively, but so far no complaints. It would be nice to see a version with built in battery even if it added some weight/size. It is surprisingly tiny, but feels and looks solid and well finished, with an attractive and clear white on black clear labeling motif. The sliders feel smooth and there was no noise/scratch when operating them (but time will be the test).I really appreciate the number of inputs, and the single analog audio output in addition to the USB output and headphone jack is sufficient and welcome. It is a perfect solution to setting up a duo mike/guitar combo, where each performer has a guitar and their own mike, with the output fed to a portable amp/speaker or karaoke machine used as amp. One of the inputs (#1) is on the front of the mixer along side the headphone jack, while the other inputs and outputs are on the back, which might making hooking up slightly more messy. Slightly awkward is providing mobile power to this preamp/mixer - I bought an Ankar 10000 mAh power bank to power it via the USB 5 volt power jack. I have not figured out yet how to bundle them together in a tidy way, but that should be solvable. So it would be nice if this mixer had a version with a built-in battery or even an add-on battery holder that accommodated small power banks.Having separately controlled phantom power available for every mike input is just great, really helps flexibility. You will have to spend some to get 3.5 mm adapters for any mic cables you have with 1/4" or XLR connectors. I ended up buying an XLR to 1/4" cable and a 1/4" to 3.5 mm adapter to connect my condenser mic.For my dynamic mic I just needed the 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter.I was impressed with the company's responsiveness to my pre-purchase questions. I got most my questions answered satisfactorily and promptly (also appreciate the other Amazon answerers). For my needs, I have not encountered any noise problems with the mixer, but I'll assess that further as I put it more to use. Overall, I think this little mixer is a brilliant solution to the duo singer/guitar player portable mixer problem, there just aren't many things out there, especially with this tiny footprint and power requirements.
