The polishing compound works great on marble. It does take some elbow grease but it is worth it.

I wish I had taken a before picture. My island with a marble countertop had gotten etched on Easter from a tomato and salad dressing. I bought this and used both products on it and it is completely gone and the shine is back,I am super pleased!
