lacking in cutting strength
the metal on these files did not stand up to the metal on my chain. The files smoothed down very quickly. Not a helpful device.

Way To Big For .325 Pitch Chain!
The carbide cutter for 3/8" pitch chain is absolutely perfect and leave a razor-sharp edge but the 3/16" carbide cutters are way to big for .325 pitch chain which means it doesn't leave the correct tooth profile after sharpening!Basically, the end result with .325 pitch chain is a cutting edge that has almost no relief (aka blunt cutting edge)!Honestly, I thought Timberline would have offered a small carbide cutter to fix this issue by now since its been a problem when they initially released this sharpening tool. Apparently, Timberline doesn't care enough to actually remedy the issue or they can't source a smaller carbide cutter to solve the problem!Either way, don't waste your hard earned money on this junk!
