Paying a little more for quality pays off in ease of use and available online help via YouTube.
Love this machine! I originally bought this to make socks for my mom. I loved being able to pick out the softest, warmest, beautiful yarns and create them with love. It was so easy and fast, that I started making them for myself and then for other family members. There are so. many YouTube videos that give all kinds of tips and ideas that I found myself spending hours learning new and creative ways to make things. What a joy it is to get results so quickly and feel productive.

This is a pretty cool little unit
This is pretty easy to work with. The instructions are very simple and the option of being able to not only do rounds, but to have it to stop to do "flat panels" is a major plus. You have to work with it to get used to how it operates and discover the speed for the yarn, so you don't drop any stiches. It does a nice job, all the stiches are even and with the flip of the little switch on the side, you can do the flat (square) panels. That will take a touch of practice and learning the individual machines speed for the type of yarn you will be using.I have both the King size and this one, of which they both operate the exact same. I highly recommend this for your projects, but I also want to stress, you must practice with it and get the feel of how it operates, before you make any final projects. As with everything, you must experiment with it before you have exactly what you hope to accomplish with it. The small one is large enough to do scarves or baby caps and small flat panels, but if you want to use this, straight from the knitter, for an adult size knitted hat, it won't fit an adult head with this diameter. What you can do is, run the lengths through for an adult head and then put them side by side to crochet or knit together. The King size Addi, this will most definitely fit an adult head and still give you some flexibility with your cap. It is also fabulous for making sleeves to sweaters, if you want to do sweaters, with the sleeves fitting the arms with a loose or roomy fit. This small unit will do very well for socks, baby clothes (sleeves) or multi-tube scarves. These units are not cheap made and the quality of the design is well thought out. But, once again, before you make a final judgement on how it works, play with it for a bit to see what the individual unit does and determine the speed to turn the handle, as the thickness of your yarn will make all the difference on the speed of turning it.It does take patience to get the hang of it, but once you do, you will use it all the time. I also use the flat bed knitters, that you mount to a table and slide back and forth, so I'm experienced in what works and doesn't with these kinds of knitting units.Patience is the key to make it work exactly the way you want it too.Thanks.

I love my Addi Pro
After a lot of research, I chose this machine because of the better overall reviews on YouTube. So far, it has worked well for me as a beginner and I foresee that I will be investing in the King model soon for larger projects. It runs smoothly, producing uniform stitches and hasn't been too picky with yarn types. The only complaint I have is the instruction booklet is nearly useless; thank goodness for YouTube videos and the experience of others. The seller I purchased through had the best price, albeit a longer delivery time, but I was willing to wait 2 weeks to save $50+, although it did arrive 4 days earlier than expected. My best advice before buying a circular knitting machine is to know what you want to make with it and watch a lot of YouTube videos so you know the differences between manufacturers/models and what nuances to expect for each brand/model.

Perfect for small projects and I-cords
The Addi Egg is a handy little tool! It’s great for making i-cords, quick repairs, or adding small details to larger projects. It’s compact, easy to use, and works best with lightweight yarns. There’s a bit of a learning curve with tension, but once you get the hang of it, it cranks smoothly. Perfect for crafters who like quick, satisfying projects or need a reliable i-cord maker.

Great little workhorse!
I have the bigger Addi King and a smaller clone but the little one was just not handling some yarns as well. I decided to step up and get the Addi Express, what a difference! Solidly made, heavier legs, needles and sits on the table without walking all over it. It does not have a tension bar like the clone but it does have a built in row counter, that makes a huge difference. I had a skein of light bulky 5wt and it knitted it smoothly without any skips or splitting of the yarn. It does super well on 4wt, smooth as butter! I wish I had gotten it sooner, it would have made a few projects so much easier. It's a 22 needle machine and knits a tube about 3.5-4" across , the perfect size for collars, cuffs, belts and accents, child size mittens and slippers, even toys. Just look on YouTube, many designers willing to share patterns.

Poor Quality
Received my knitting machine and the box was half open and seemed like I received a refurbished item. I did not receive the extra pins that were included or the small needle either. Luckily I had needles so it was no biggie but when I started using the machine no matter what quality of yarn I used it would get hooked on the red pieces between the pins. The yarn being caught would cause double stitches and drop stitches. Looking to return and will stick with Sentro.

Fun Hobby
I bought this with absolutely no experience knitting or crotching, and after a few hours I’m making fun socks and about to try my first “plain” knit and do a scarf. It’s an interesting hobby, but I’m already considering upgrading to a King to make hats and who knows?

Nice Knitting Machine
I like this machine, but you have to be careful about which yarns you use. The machine tends to drop stitches on different yarns. When you find the yarn that works well, the machine works great. Just takes a little trial and error but it is worth it.
