I like this product. It's easy to use. I have a problem using gluten free dough with this but it probably human error. Regular flour dough works well.

The media could not be loaded. Im not using this for pasta, but to condition polymer clay and help mix colors. so far it works great and is much cheaper than the rollers marketed for clay (even though its the same product).the thickness resizing works great and the slicing rollers also work great.

So, I've never made pasta before, but I made it on my first try. I found a recipe online that called for a little less than the amount of flour specified in the manual. I used 2 cups of flour, 3 eggs, a little extra virgin olive oil, and salt. The dough was pretty easy to make, even for a beginner like me. I kneaded it for about 5 minutes, then cut it into 4 pieces, shaped them into balls, and let them rest.Next, I rolled the dough through the highest setting (8) on the pasta machine. I followed the instructions to fold it with flour and run it through again. Then, I jumped down to setting 5 and rolled it through twice. I thought about trying setting 4, but on setting 1, the dough was so thin that it didn't cut well for me. I found that settings 4 or 5 were best for making fettuccine for alfredo.The pasta cooked in 4 minutes. Honestly, I'll never want to use dried box pasta again. This was actually really easy to make and tasted fresh and delicious. I'm so glad my first attempt turned out so well.The pasta machine was good; it gave me no problems.. It's small, but for a few people or a small family, it's really all you need. For the price (around $25), it seems like a good deal. I'm happy I decided to buy it. I bought one a few months ago for clay and loved it. I messed it up (my own fault, I kept putting clay through that was too thick) so ordered a new one. But that one came with a dent in the blade that left a streak in the clay. So I returned and ordered a replacement. That came and it had several large dings in the rollers, also leaving marks in the clay. So now I need to return that one too and I think now I need to try a different brand. Not sure what happened to the quality. But if you get an undamaged one, it’s great.

I’ve wanted to make my own pasta ever since my first trip to Italy left me desperately wanting in the states. But, frankly, I wasn’t willing to pay triple digits to delve into the hobby. So I bought this. You know? Not disappointed. We have friends who bought the attachment for their Kitchenaid and, yeah, it’s pretty slick being automated and all… but, frankly, as I’m getting my legs under me in this new pasta-making world, I don’t mind taking it a little slower and cranking at my own pace. (The handle hasn’t been a problem for me, BTW. Yes, it slips out easily, that’s the design. But if you’re using it correctly, I haven’t found it to be an issue). If I were inclined to complain about anything (and, honestly, I’m not so much, considering it cost me less than a decent lunch at any local establishment) I’d say that I wish I could buy more attachments for cutting the pasta. The attachment included does linguine and “spaghetti” (really more like Angel Hair). But experimenting with the thickness of my dough before cutting has resulted in a variety of textures and densities of pasta, so I really can’t even complain about that. Clean up is… fine. In my experience, if your dough is as solid as it needs to be, cleanup is going to be fairly minimal, but you probably need to reconcile yourself to the fact that there will be traces, no matter what brush you use and how diligently. Overall, I have been very happy with my beginner pasta journey with this little machine, and I haven’t gotten any complaints from the family. Solid buy. I recommend.

Absolute garbage. You get what you paid for and I paid for chrome plated trash. The small piece of metal in the bottom of the roller was damaged when the unit arrived because it is so thin and rolling out the dough is almost impossible without it going around the roller. I’ve floured the dough to the point that there is almost no hydration left and it still gets caught. This unit is garbage and I will be sending it back
