The best rice cooker we've owned and the stainless steel bowl and streamer is awesome.
We wanted a bit smaller rice cooker, because our 8 cup cook up too much counter space and the bowl inside had the non-stick coating was scratching off with use. Yuk! I wanted a healthier option for my family of 4 adults that makes rice very often. I ordered this rice cooker and could not be more impressed! This 6 cup makes more than enough rice, it's cooks the rice perfectly and the 1 lever operation is very simple. Not having a non-stick coated bowl is wonderful and easier to clean, too. This medium sized cooker can cook many things and steam veggies, fish, chicken, etc.. while the rice is being made! It's cool! I love the size and fits nicely on our counter top, too. It's a little bit more for the stainless rice bowl and steamer, but I feel it was well worth the few dollars more. We love this price cooker and give it 5 Stars!

Excellent Rice Cooker!
Outstanding quality, wanted stainless steel, use high quality stainless for my other cooking needs… stainless steel always delivers, it’s safe, and it lasts for a lifetime, so wanted a rice cooker that was high quality stainless steel as well. So pleased with this item. It does not disappoint.

If I had to pick just one Appliance to own it would be this one
This is an extremely useful Appliance. I owned an aroma rice cooker a few years ago and it had been a reliable and useful Appliance. I think I gave it away. This new one is amazing. The pot inside is not only stainless steel but it's a very high-quality with a good thick Heavy bottom to it so you could actually set it on a stove burner and use it that way. I have successfully cooked many things in this rice cooker including quinoa and Kasha but also have boiled eggs and pasta. You could even sauté onions in olive oil using this device. The only grain I don't make in this pot is barley. It cooks fine but There is significant sticking. So that's fine because I just cook barley in the slow cooker now. When I boiled pasta the steamer basket served as the perfect colander for the cooked pasta. Sometimes I use the pot on my stove burner when I just want to steam some broccoli. I do use a burner trivet but it's probably not necessary. The steamer basket is great for rinsing the florets before cooking. If I could only have one Appliance it would be this one.

Holding Up,
This rice cooker with the stainless steel pot is much much better quality than the brand's other non-stick aluminum version. Both versions have the steam basket, simple cook/warm functions and auto shut off. I just needed a bigger one than the first one i bought and was happy to get stainless steel. It makes life very convenient and it's holding up to several uses a week.

Stainless steel? Yes please!
Absolutely love this rice cooker! It has the perfect size, the stainless steel gives it a much more sturdy and classy look, and most importantly I can rest assured no harmful chemicals will ever come out from any non-stick coating. And for those who (like me initially) might be worried about rice sticking onto a stainless steel surface believe me, that is not going to happen!

still has VOC smell after 2 months of frequent use
I have been using the 6 cup (cooked) rice cooker with steamer for 2 months now, and there is still smell. Once the machine is off or on warm mode the smell goes away. So I am pretty sure it's not right. I am really concerned, because I have noticed chest pain recently, more when I am around it during operation. Also, there is a major flaw on the design of the base where the stainless steel pot sits on. There are a few protruding spots (coated) that would touch the stainless steel pot; when the cooker is on, especially for the first time use, the coating on those spots would heat up and possibly melt away because it's touching the stainless steel pot that is hot, which then stick to the outside of the stainless steel pot. I am pretty sure this is what happened because those spots on the base revealed the stainless steel after the intial use, and I have also check the stainless steel body for marks. Check on your cooker see if I am right on initial use.I have another brand at home, bigger, their designs are really similar, also coated, but doesn't have those protuding spots. I bought Aroma for the steamer, but ended up not using it at all. lol. But I have to say, that the stainless steel on the inner pot is of high quality. So such a pity.I have called Aroma service 3 times yesterday and it automatically sent me to voicemail saying customer service not available, call back again or leave message. Either way, I am a discontinuing the use of this product.

Won itself a spot on my counter.
It doesn’t hold nearly as much rice as it says, but it’s perfect for a 2 to 4 servings of rice. It’s a nice little steamer as well for vegetables. Things do tend to stick to the bottom but as long as you spray it with avocado oil or something first, and then let it soak for just a short time after cooking it cleans up pretty easily. I do add a little more liquid than what it says because of the sticking for brown rice, I cook it a little longer then when it automatically shuts off or it’s tough. Cooked jasmine rice perfectly.

Stainless steel-- not coated inside
Works great, I especially like that it has stainless steel insides... not coated. I bought it for 25 year old whom likes to make balsamic rice. He loves it.
