Excellent Solution to Sharing One printer between Two Computers
This device operates exactly as expected. It was easy to set up and so far it has been very reliable. I have encounterd no problems at all. It came with 2 USB connector cables and I considered the entire package as a bargain. It has a very small space profile and is very simple to operate. Some may consider the lightness of the product a negative attribute but I did not encounter any issues with it at all

Great Little Device for the $$
I have two computers, one of which hosts all my virtual machines. Normally I just RDP to it, but on occasion I need to logon directly to it. This great little guy made it super simple for me to share my wireless keyboard and mouse between the two computer ... at a very reasonable price. I love it.I totally agree with many of the other posts, it is extremely light so once the USB cables are in it, it does not want to stand straight on it's own. Like many others suggested here, I simply put some velcro strips on the bottom and "wala" problem solved. I think this is a great product for the $$.

almost the perfect solution i was looking for
wanted to use it as a cheap 2 computer KVM swithc. it seems to work, but does not. When you first plug it and test, all seems fine. but then you start to notice the problems. Here are the ones i saw while using this to connect a keyboard and mouse to two computers:sometimes, when you press a key for too long, it will continue even after you release it. and only stop when you press another key. (usb hid driver on the other side probably never received the keyup event...)sometimes the mouse click does not register.if you connect a pen drive on the same USB bus, and start a transfer, this device won't register anything from the keyboard and mouse. (If you connect the keyboard/mouse directly, or via a hub, then it works fine. only happens with this device.)i though this would do for a cheap KVM switch when you only need a usb keyboard. but it seems i will have to buy a full featured KVM switcher as this does not cut it.

Good USB2 switch, but cheap included cables
Works well for switching things.I use one of these to share a gamepad between two computers (on a shared KVM, but the gamepad does not work so well through the KVM).I use another for switching between the same KVM and a (rather convoluted) USB to PS/2 to USB series of keyboard adapters so my Lenovo laptop allows me access to its BIOS and some other functions. A lot of Lenovo laptops deal okay with directly attached USB keyboards but don't seem to take kindly to the same keyboard through a USB KVM, so this helps there as long as I remember to switch it as appropriate. So, basically, it can, with appropriate cables, be used in both directions -- switching peripherals between hosts, or selecting which peripheral a host has available to it (most people would probably not need this direction though). The included cables are junk (this seems pretty common these days). Buy your own.

Not a Perfect Product but Workable
The first thing I noticed was that the USB port provided cannot be used with a USB Hub to extend the number of ports. No Big Deal. but using a Wireless USB Keyboard Mouse combo, If one of the computers is off and I switch to that computer then turn it on. THe computer will not pick up the mouse & Keyboard. Even switching back to A then to B won't do it. I have to reboot the computer in question to make it recognize.

Worked perfectly ... installed in 1 minute!
I purchased the version that included 2 USB cables. I'm using this to share a Logitech wireless Keyboard and mouse with 2 computers (the USB wireless transmitted/received for the keyboard and mouse is now plugged into the back of the Tek Republic box). There are no 'drivers' required, this is a very simple 'mechanical' way to share a USB device between multiple computers. Good price, perfect solution and well made. P.S the packaging was also sensible (1 cardboard box and 1 plastic tray then can be recycled). 10/10!

You get what you pay for or less!
I purchased this switch so I could use one key board to control two computers. I had purchased a similar TEK Republic and it has worked fine so I figured that this switch would also. I received the switch, it was packed well in an amazon box and the box that the manufacture supplied was also in good shape and the product was well protected. I removed the switch and connected to my two computers and it worked fine. Because of space limitations I decided to to use the mount that it came with and attached two strips of Velcro to an under the table location. A very simple setup. I reconnected the PC USB cables and only one switch position worked! I swapped the output cable and I couldn't make it work. So I decided to order a different brand. I was mystified that it failed in one try so decided to take the unit apart and see if it was something simple. Here is where I became very disappointed. The unit has two multi pole pushbutton switches and the USB connectors soldered to a well made printed circuit board. The problem was workmanship. the soldering was absolutely horrible. I've been in the electronics industry for 45 years and this was the absolute worst soldering I have ever seen. On top of that the circuit board was covered in solder flux residue. Since they was no way I was going to return it I decided to try to clean the flux residue with DeoxIT, Alcohol and compressed air. After the cleaning It worked. For the price I paid I didn't expect NASA quality but quality of the soldering was extremely disappointing. Needless to say I will look for alternatives before I order another TEK Republic product

Works good
Now it's easy for my wife and me to share the printer on each computer. Only minor nuisance is that it is light-weight and the weight and pull of the cables make it fall over. Fixed that with a little double-faced tape. Bad thing is that if you have a nice, finished surface such as wood the tape may mar the surface. I fixed that by gluing it to the side of the printer. No more problems.
