I've read a multitude of books on corporate culture and business leadership, and have an MBA from a very good school. We spent quite a bit of time in a couple courses talking about the culture of GE and how that was shaped under Jack Welch. As much or even more attention should be given to the study of Chick-fil-A's culture! This book is very well-written and easy to read, the concepts are so simple that it's a wonder why there aren't more companies adopting the model, especially in a copycat business world that we operate in. The people at Chick-fil-A really understand the meaning of service, and how it is the single best way to lead a fulfilling life.

I found this book to be a GREAT read. Having actually interviewed with Chick-Fil-A, I found the culture to be right on target. Most certainly a company of the highest standards. I love Dee Ann's story of determination and dedication. She is very inspiring.

Just finished reading this wonderful book and have placed my order for more to give as gifts! Beginning with an inside look at the culture of Chic-fil-A, Dee Ann draws the reader in with her easy writing style. An informative look at what it takes to recognize, hire and nurture good talent in a business was illustrated with genuine stories from the author's thirty years with Truett Cathy and his family. One of the gift books is for my son who is an AP in a large school system! Another is for my nephew in the business world. Who's on your Christmas list?

Mack and I had the privilege of meeting Dee Ann recently and I thoroughly enjoyed the wisdom in her book on creating the extraordinary. Many of her points are also relevant on a personal level as well - excellence in our personal lives and servant leadership in our relationships. Awesome read! This would be a great book and tool to use in improving culture in any organization, with easy to understand concepts, concise bullet points and heart-warming stories from Dee Ann's years of experience.

This book is a high-level introduction to common HR and generic company vision concepts. There are many stories that serve as examples but do not add any insight. I was looking for more details about Chick-fil-a's culture and business processes.
