These are so fun for my 2 and 4 year old that we had to purchase a second set. We've been using them for several months outside and they have been very durable and fun to use.

It does not seem like one could roll these across the floor due to the way the wheels are mounted. They are not on axles but rather wheels are snapped on to tabs molded protruding from the body. At least on the one bucket loader I looked at. The bodies are a lightweight plastic, which feels kind of flimsy to me. But, less mass means less damage if they get thrown during play. Should be good enough for a 2 year-old, though.Edit: The pivots on the loader and the excavator have detents to hold the joints in different positions rather than being floppy. That's a thoughtful detail.Price decreased $4 since my purchase--naughty.
