I got these to use, not for electrical connections, but to use as tiny clamps to hold wires for soldering. I had one that I used for years and lost it. These will work perfectly for this application. Note that soldering near the steel is better than trying to do it with the copper coated ones. The solder would instantly stick to copper, but not so quickly with plated steel. Perfect for that use as well.Other reviews had indicated that some of their clips touch only at the very tips. If you want to have them touch over their full length, squeeze them together while closed with a pair of pliers with flat jaws. That will align them to touch over their whole length.UPDATE: The clips are pretty slippery, but I attached two tiny scraps of sandpaper on the backs with superglue. (see attached) They work better than any of the expensive micro clips that I have bought.

I needed clips for making a mini basket. They pinch strongly and small enough not to distort the vertical column. I am glad I bought them.
