I bought this speaker because I lifeguard several days a week at a large indoor YMCA pool. I use it to play an eclectic mix of music (classical, jazz, big band, 60's, 70's, 80's, Motown, country, new age, Broadway, Disney ... etc.). The speaker works great in all cases and I cannot detect any distortion at any volume level. Full volume easily fills the entire room. Lap swimmers, of course, can't hear much while working out, but other patrons have been very complimentary about the musical entertainment and have often mistaken the speaker for a whole new pool audio system. The long battery life is a plus, since it gets played for 6 hours at a time. I would not hesitate to buy this again.

If you're on the fence and going to read a review, read this one. After 3 years of blasting this thing at full power on every bike ride I go on, it's finally started to....get a little quieter. But it still works fine. This thing is a beast. If you wanted to see how much this can handle look no further, I got you. Bike rides through downtown Detroit, the middle of the woods, mud and dirt, rain and snow. This thing was blasting. You'd hear me before you'd see me. Probably saved my life more than I can count. The Bluetooth never has issues. The volume is super loud. I've gotten caught in torrential rain and it was chugging along the whole time while I was biking through gale force winds and sideways rain. If you want a durable and LOUD speaker that will take most things you throw at it, THIS IS THE SPEAKER. I don't write reviews like this for most things. But this speaker was 100% worth the money. It finally started to get a little quiet for the bike, so I upgraded to their X10. But this thing STILL works. I'll be using it inside for the coming years. Looking forward to giving the X10 a good review too. I love when tech is built to last and not for planned obsolescence. They don't have to do it. But they do. And I hope they make more money because they decided to make the better product instead of making money by cutting corners. Shout out to my d8 man, this thing is awesome.

I have bought a few Bluetooth speakers in the past and was disappointed with the volume. This one ROCKS.! I like to listen to music while gardening and don’t like ear buds. So this is great for me.

I bought one of these on sale about 2 years ago. Gets fairly loud depending on the music played and the atmosphere it's used in. It would last for maybe 3-4 work days before needing to charge, which only took about 5 or 6 hours. The downside to that is you can't use it while it is charging. Up until a few weeks ago I had no issues. One day out of nowhere, it just died while in use. It had given me the first warning beep that it was getting low on battery but not the second one before the powering down sound. Just completely shut off. Then I took notice during the weekend while it was charging that the 3rd light was still blinking after 8 hours. I let it continue, only to find it was still flashing another several hours later. At this point I doubt it will hold a full charge anymore and will probably become a paperweight sometime in the next couple years. Portable/wireless speakers may be convenient these days, but you may be better off finding something that you can plug in and use instead.

If you are searching for BASS - take note:This speaker is without a doubt a 5 star speaker.BUT!While it does have bass, it is a tight and punchy sounding bass. A bass that goes well with the overall clarity of this speaker. The main unique selling point here is that this speaker is LOUD & CLEAR & WELL BUILT.BUT!For you BASS heads & AUDIOPHILES out there that are seeking a BT speaker that delivers that deep and resonating bass - similar to the type bass you get when your subs are knocking in your trunk... this isn't it.That said, I am keeping this speaker because it's awesome.

Love it. It’s a neat little speaker, given that it’s actually pretty big. It’s perfect for my use which is for camping and stuff. It’s nice and loud but not too loud easy to connect and use the strap is a bonus. The plastic looks like it’s cheap but seems real sturdy. Idk if the gloss on it, is what causes that? You can use aux usb and doubles as a battery bank. We’ll see how long it lasts on my next trip….. hopefully the 40 hours that are advertised!

Awesome sound. Got caught in the rain with it and it held up to the waterproof lable. Easy to pair with any device. I love this speaker. It charges pretty quick. Over all great value for the price. And the volume control is good

Nice price and great sound. Purchased for a work unit. Seems heavy and sturdy.
