The filter worked very well. The city did some water pipe repairs locally and mud came down the line. The filter was replaced by a plumber after only 3 days. A simple white filter was covered with dirt. The water quality in the house remained excellent. It saved a lot of money replacing fixtures etc.

Excellent product. Removes sediment as it should. Tip: keep an eye on the price - it often comes down quite a bit -- then buy 'em. It'll go back up again.

Third time buying this and the filter works great, since it looks aww full when I pull it. I change them every six months. I suggest people do the oring each time, as well. If you insist on reusing, at least have a spare oring around should the install fail and leak

I just finished installing a complete whole house water filtration system. I used only pentek filters and housings. I'm very happy with the performance of my system and how well it all went together. Here's a breakdown of the all the components I used in my system. I went to great length researching what works and found it wasn't easy going thru each pentek filter and it's function. The goal was to reduce some sediment, iron deposits from old iron pipes and remove any chemical taste. The water tastes great now and is crystal clear.Components:-Pentek Big Blue 20" Filter Housings-Housing Bracket for Big blue 10" and 20" filterFilters IN ORDER:1-Pentek DGD-2501-20 Spun Polypropylene Filter 20 micron dual stage to 1 micron.2-Pentek 155263, RFFE20-BB Radial Flow Iron Removing Filter3-Pentek RFCC-BB Carbon Filteryou can add another Filter after the Carbon for media if you want. Not necessary but is an option or run 2 sediment filters in beginning of the system.-Various copper pipes and PVC pipes to build the system. I highly recommend a bypass valve and a way to shut off the water to your filters if you need to change them without losing water pressure to the house.-I experienced nearly 0 PSI drop thru the 3 filters and no noticeable change in flow rate.

Great replacement filter! Half the price of store unit. Will re purchase going foward.

These work great! We been buying them for how many years now!!!

I change this filter yearly and this fits great and is very easy to change, as long as you have the proper filter wrench to remove the filter. Don't forget to shut off the water and drain the system before loosening this part.
