Likes:-Very well built, stunning design. This is now called Hatherford, but it’s also called Hartford and NFM calls it Wycliff Bay Hartford. The lighter oak tones of the back contrast nicely with the very dark brown (almost black) finish on the rest of the unit.-The touch lighting provides a wonderful aesthetic. The opening at the bottom allows for cords/cables to pass through. The metal grating definitely adds to the overall design. I can’t say enough good things about the craftsmanship and aesthetic.Dislikes:The top isn’t finished. Presumably, you’ll be using this on one of the matching desks or credenza, and as such won’t generally have a view of the top, yet it would have been nice to have it finished anyway, especially at this price. The light fixtures are accessible from the top through two 4-5 inch in diameter holes, which is an odd design choice considering anyone using this would no doubt have the back of the unit against the wall. It would have made more sense if the rear of the unit had the access panel, seeing as the back isn’t finished either.-The continual renaming seems to be a way to continue driving the price up. NFM has this for $651, and here on amazon I believe it was originally $800 or so. The real issue is that it makes it difficult to find, particularly since the original name of Hartford returns nothing by pages that say sold out. I’ve been eyeballing this set (L Desk, Lateral Filing Cabinet and Hutch) for three years. NFM by my home actually stopped selling it at that location. That too ranges in price, from $1350 to $2800. I love the set, but there is zero chance I’d ever pay $4300 for the pieces I bought. While I considered removing a star for this, the fact remains that you can still obtain this online for reasonable prices if you’re willing to search.-The touch lighting system only consists of two lights, one on the top of either side behind the metal grated doors. Having lights in the center of the unit would have made more sense, and frankly, I’d prefer to have one additional light on each shelf behind the doors and two lights in the center of the unit - one for the top and one for the shelf.-The touch activation, though a good idea, isn’t a well thought out implementation. You have to actually open the door and touch the hinge to activate. A separate wired touch pad would have been a better design choice.-The hutch essentially just sits on the desk, with no latching mechanism. I realize that is a very minor nitpick, but it is worth mentioning. That said, it does come with hardware to secure it to the wall.The veneer on this line is very, very thin, and it’s likely that you will eventually be seeking a restoration service.Overall, despite a sizable portion of this review focusing on things I think could have made the product better, this is absolutely a stunning piece, provided you can find it for a good price. I purchased mine on Amazon as a Amazon Warehouse Return as a used, damaged unit. I feared I’d get one that had a large scratch or dent, but to my surprise it was in near flawless condition, and considering the price listed here, I got it for an absolute steal of a price - a mere $327. If you’re looking for quality veneer furniture, this is it. It won’t have the lifespan of solid hardwood, but with care it will last long enough to be an heirloom.Disclaimer: I purchased mine as a returned item discounted from Amazon Warehouse.

I thought I had found the perfect hutch. The website said fully assembled but it wasn’t.

Product was well packed when arrived. Very easy to assemble, great quality, great color. I am very happy with the purchase.

Ordered 3 pieces. Desk and credenza are great. 5 stars. Hutch was sent back by Amazon as damaged in shipping. Had to reorder and Amazon charged 'secondary' card without permission. 2nd one showed up with what appears to be water damage by wife decided to keep after all the hassle of delivery.
