Morimoto D2S 5000K XB HID Bulbs, Pair

The bulbs are awesome. Before with the halogen bulbs I could barely see at night and when it rains you can forget it. With these bulbs I had one that didn’t work. When I contacted the seller, Elliot from the retrofit source was on it. After I explained it to him about what happen he ordered a replacement right away. He also helped me with other issues and was able to provide excellent customer service. The customer service is worth it alone. You have a customer for life. Thanks again Elliot.

One bulb would not fit the igniter (tried it on both sides). So after you’ve removed your bumper etc… and have everything apart it almost fit and just felt like the plastic body was a bit too big OD, so I attempted to sand it down a touch but it was a no go. Emailed Morimoto with photos and video and their support is less then garbage. They say if not purchased from them you have to return it from where you got it, so basically they don’t honor their own product. All I wanted was a replacement bulb which I’ll have to disassemble the whole thing once again on my time because they build a defective product and yet you can’t even get that. Can’t return it to Amazon since I had to try and sand it a touch to see if it would fit and can’t get a replacement from the manufacturer. Great product support (sarcasm). Other bulb works just fine so I guess order multiple sets and return the ones you don’t need since QC is lacking and honoring warranty is worthless. Stick to Osram or Phillips maybe they cost more but at least it’s likely to fit.

Product was expected to be delivered 1-2 weeks after purchase and surprisingly showed up only 2 days after ordering! Lights are extremely bright compared to my stock HIDs and are crystal white. Definitely recommend them for purchase. Will update if any performance changes are seen over time.

Beggars can't be choosers so for the price they work great. The are a nice ice white. No yellowing. Just not the brightest in distance. Next time will pay the extra $40 for the osram CBI

I was pretty disappointed when I replaced my 20 year old Mercedes stock HID bulbs with $10 Amazon choice D2S bulbs. So, I stepped up to these $62 Morimo bulbs. They are a little brighter, but not outstanding. Maybe I need to change my 20 year old ballasts?I have figured out that these bulbs are not the problem. The dim light output is caused by deterioration of the projector`s reflective surface. After years of weather and heat, the aluminized mirror gets worn and stained. The only solution is to replace them.

As usual Morimoto and The Retrofit source have done a great job.

Arrived with green residue inside the bulbs, and it showed in my headlights when turned on, with a green tint on one side of the beam pattern. Also, one of the bulbs would turn on for 30 seconds, flicker, and shut off. Never happened with any other bulbs. Looks like these were poor quality control.
