Normally I wear a small in all articles of clothing. I first ordered these shorts in a size small and the elastic waistband was just too tight. I don’t have the slimmest waist - I’m fairly straight up and down/less curvy. So for me the waist on the size small was just too tight.I reordered the medium and the fit much better. The leg/butt area is bigger than the size small but it wasn’t gaping or too loose.So I would recommend ordering a size up.Also the fabric on these is really nice. It’s not your typical jersey fabric. I feel like I could wear the black shorts out. They don’t really seem like exercise shorts to me!

they fit me perfectly! (5’4 150 lbs.) the waistband is nice and holds well, and i like to tie my shorts a little tighter at the waist. the shorts cover your butt cheeks even when the waistband is up to my bellybutton which is nice for my personal taste. the material is good quality and is soft and decently stretchy. the shorts aren’t skin-tight either but have a nice fit that isn’t too baggy. i love both colors and would definitely buy again if i ever misplaced them. (i didn’t get a picture of the black ones because my camera is broken) also, i’ve had these shorts for about three months now and have washed them multiple times... the quality hasn’t diminished at all. they still feel brand new and they don’t shrink :) hope this helped!

They’re very comfy and are well made. I’m a medium in everything, I always am. Size 6 in American eagle jeans. Ordered a medium, and they’re pretty large. Very baggy on me. I would size down if I ordered again, but I just got them for around the house so they suit their purpose. If you like a baggier short order your usual size. Wash them a few times before wearing unless you want black fuzzies all over you!UPDATE** lost a star because after 1-2 months of wearing them the black has faded considerably. I agree that these are FANTASTIC quality. I also have worn Soffe shorts, and these don't compare. These are a lovely, cool thick cotton, almost like the stiffness of linen with the smoothness of regular cotton. I had $$22/piece shorts from American Apparel I thought were "worth it for the quality," and these prove me wrong, because for less than half the price these are thicker, a liiiiiittle longer, and feel better. They are super comfortable. The drawstring tie did come out on the gray pair, but I wash my clothes a lot and also don't think the drawstring is necessary.

I have a curvy build with wide hips, thick thighs and a butt. Sometimes it's hard to find some comfortable shorts that also stays flattering. I found these to be very comfortable and it gives my booty a lil perk up. Also, the small side cut outs give a sprinkle of sexy. They're the right amount of stretchy too! I wear them to bed, lounge, cleaning, etc. I ordered the size I would wear underwear and it fit perfect. I want more!

These are stiff and hard and runs a little small! I will have to wash them many times to see if I can make them comfortable enough to wear! Toughest cotton I ever saw
