Rock, Mineral, Crystal Treasure Excavation Kit

My science-minded 5 year old was so excited to play with this toy. She loved the tools that came with it, and worked at carefully extracting rocks for about an hour. The "rocks" were plastic, but she was happy with them still. I believe she's technically too young for this, but I think it actually might be a little too simple for kids much older than 5 or 6, and older kids might be disappointed with the quality of the rocks coming out of it.Do this activity outside for SURE. The dust/rock/dirt that holds all the little rocks together gets everywhere if you do it inside! Hoses away nicely if you do it outside.We totally enjoyed it, and have bought it as a birthday gift for a few friends since. I recommend it for sure!

My little guys had a great time. I only bought one though thinking they would both work on it and find individual stones scattered throughout. The stones seem to have been tossed in one area only not throughout so keep in mind if you are going to have children working together. ..it might be more fun for them to have their own to excavate.

Bought as a gift for my 8 year old niece. She had a great time with it.

Worst product ever! I ordered 2, one had gemstones inside, the other was completely missing all stones. Needless to say, my daughter was devestated.

Nothing was found in the material. No treasure. Sad kid. And I crushed every bit with a hammer to make sure.

These kits are big around our house! Another Winner!!
