Bought iPad Pro 9.7". Bought Zugu case. Stuck them in the same room and they liked each other so much they got married and bought a house together!The case is durable feeling with just the right amount of softness to the exterior. The infinitely adjustable angle works great - will the velcro hold up? - and I have already found it to be a quite useful feature. Once the kickstand grips, it doesn't let go with normal use. You can pick it up, move it around and the stand holds firm; yet is easy to adjust - with 2 hands.The pencil holder, while welcome, is kinda a joke. With the Pencil in the loop and the case closed, it is magnificent!! Then you open the case and you can't easily get to the power button. This is a minor gripe as the iPad powers on when you open the case, but if you want to power it down, while open, it is less convenient.I am not going to personally drop test for your amusement, but the case does give a sense of added security from minor drops - it is fairly cushioned, but not overly so.When open, and held like a book, the case adds a little thickness to the overall feel; I prefer this to the iPad in just a silicon case as I find it easier to hold/grip than with just a silicon case.I did a lot of research on iPad Pro 9.7" cases with the ability to hold an Apple Pencil. I am quite satisfied with the purchase and even though the Pencil loop is not as great as the rest of the case, it is there, convenient, and when closed holds the Pencil securely enough that I have no fear of losing it - utilitarian, not sexy. Would buy again.

There’s an absolutely BEWILDERING number of iPad cases out there, all of which claim to be the absolute greatest. They are definitely NOT all created equal though, and it can be extremely difficult sorting out truth from fiction, far less which case really IS the best. Compounding the problem is the fact that it’s fairly subjective: what will work for one person (or need) will not necessarily work for another person (or need).I’m a firm believer in thoroughly researching everything I buy, and I definitely did my due diligence in my search for the right case…for ME. In the end, one case stood out above all of them…the Zugu Case. Indeed, it’s the PERFECT case…for MY purposes.It might also be the best case for you if:• You like a case that’s made with QUALITY materials• You like a case that's sturdy, without adding too much extra weight (hey, let's face it....some weight is ALWAYS going to be added if you want any sort of sturdy case)• You like having the ability to support the iPad at virtually ANY angle (although only in landscape mode, which is fine for me..I can always turn the iPad on end if I want to look at it in portrait mode)If any of the above are important criteria for you, I would say you’ll be very happy with this case (and I wasn’t paid to say that, like so many reviewers here on Amazon!).

I have had every iPad made. With each one, I've had to search for a new case. I've had all different brands, price points and styles. When I got the iPad Pro, again I began a search for "the perfect case". I came upon this one, liked what I saw and the reviews were good. When I received it.....WOW, I was impressed! This is absolutely THE BEST case ever! It's soft leather. My iPad fits snugly inside the case. No worries about it falling out! But, the best feature about this case is the kickstand! This is genius! This Velcro operated kickstand will hold my iPad at any angle! I've tried very low, almost laying flat, it stayed! Also stood as straight up as I could get it to stand and it , too, stayed! Even angles in between! It never fell backwards. The Velcro held it securely in place! I love this case! If you've been searching for a case that never falls back when being used, then this is it! I highly recommend this case! You will definitely not be sorry!

I went through everything that Best Buy had to offer but nothing was hitting the spot. Most of my iPad time is spent lying down and none of those cases were optimized for that kind of experience. This case on the other hand is an absolute delight to use in bed. The velcro locks make the device rigid and stable at any angle I choose. I can type in bed if I want to. It's like a breath of fresh air.Nice fit and finish. Looks and feels well crafted. Actually a bit nicer than the online pictures. (Black items are difficult to photograph well). All the cutouts match. Stitching is top notch. I feel like I got a bargain. It felt a bit too heavy at first but now I find the extra weight comforting. Subjectively speaking it appears to have a modest amount of built in drop protection from every possible angle as long as the case is closed. A face down hit in the locked open position would not end well.In the closed position the sticky velcro hooks are not exposed. I use a bit of caution when opening it up or closing it since there is a chance the velcro will snag the micro fiber material I am wearing. Once it's locked open or closed all risk of that has passed. I do not use a pen so I can't comment on the usefulness of the pen holder. This is a strong case but not strong enough for checked baggage or a heavily loaded suitcase.Closing the case puts the iPad to sleep. There is a magnetic folding tab that wraps around the case and locks it closed. I liked that little extra bit of security. It can't pop open.I would have liked the ability to rotate the device inside the case but that might not be realistic. I would also have liked a bit of protection for the front bezel in case it falls off the bed and lands face down. But then again if I get a case that can do everything and protect the iPad from every possible damage scenario then I get a heavy, bulky case that is difficult to use. It would ruin the iPad pro experience.For me this Zugu case enhances the iPad experience. Highly recommended.
