Mercy Watson Thinks Like a Pig

I absolutely LOVE the Mercy Watson series! And what’s more important- so does my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter!! These are a WONDERFUL introduction to chapter books into a young child’s life! The story lines are simple, yet comical and there are beautiful COLORED pictures on EVERY page! I only wish there were more Mercy adventures! I am finding it very difficult to find another chapter book series that has as many pictures or colored pictures. (Just a heads-up... The extra stories focusing on the other characters on Deckawoo Drive do not have colored pictures or as many pictures.)

My daughter loves all the Mercy books! She is 8 years old and in 2nd grade. Reading is not one of her favorite things to do so I’m always looking for books that will hold her attention and these books seem to do the trick!

We have all of the Mercy Watson books, and my daughters and I absolutely adore each book. They are so cute and funny, but they also allow for great inferencing and building vocabulary opportunities with your children. We just love the characters in these books. Some are in each one, others are introduced in one and then return later in others. We love to see all of them come together in one common love... toast with a great deal of butter! My 6 and 5 year old girls love these books, and I enjoy them just as much as they do.

My son, 6, loves the mercy Watson books so far. His kindergarten teacher suggested them, as he started reading young. This one in particular, #5, is his favorite. He really had trouble putting it down and went through it pretty fast. Great collection of books

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter who loves the Mercy Watson series. This is an easy to read chapter book . It was funny and kept her interested in reading it by herself.

Love this series! Hot buttered toast for everyone! Great to read as a family and perfect for my 4 yr old and 2 yr old. One drawback - would love to see more diversity in the characters of these books.

I teach 4 & 5 year olds. My kids LOVE Mercy Watson! They love the colorful pictures that go along with the story. It's so fun to read.

Mercy Watson is an amazing way to start kids on chapter books when they are ready. This particular book was not as entertaining as the first two in the series but it is still a really good fun book.

All the Mercy Watson books are amazing. Lovely pictures. My daughters read them from the age of 5 up to 6 years old.

We can only read the book in landscape and only one page is visible the other we cannot view. We have a new kindle paperwithe white. This book is not suitable for reading on a kindle.
