Early 60's gem
This album is superb, I do not know any other way of saying it. I bought a near mint vinyl copy of this not long ago and loved it so much I had to get the CD. Although this came out way before I was born, I love this type of music and this CD exemplifies class and style...something not even heard of in today's music scene. I am so very happy I found this on Amazon.

... jewel (one of them) soundtrack of one of the greatest composer/arrangers of the 20th century
Signature Mancini music from the crown jewel (one of them) soundtrack of one of the greatest composer/arrangers of the 20th century, unfortunately hampered by a poor digital re-master job. Original vinyl pressings are superior in comparison.

The movie is great for an oldies flick
The movie is great for an oldies flick. I especially love love love the opening scene as Holly Golightly strolls along window shopping in the first dawn hours after a night out falling in love with being alive, and the music made the film come alive adding a far greater depth to what otherwise may have been a not as good film.

This CD has the timeless work of Henry Mancine, a memorable composer who captured the image and tone of the film Breakfast At Tiffany's, not to mention a flow of delicate, sublime music!

Still Fresh and Fun...
"Moon River" was "our song" back in the day., but I had forgotten how good the rest of Mancini's music was. This soundtrack was everywhere in the early 60's. I'm glad it has been rediscovered.
