here are a few good / bad points i have noticed over the past ...
I purchased the sil-nylon version (grey colour) and have been very impressed for the price of this! here are a few good / bad points i have noticed over the past 6-8 months:Good points:I can comfortable sit upright in this tentI can comfortably cook whilst sitting in the tent using the porch area, generally with the outer door fastened back for ventilation / ensuring the tarp is far enough from an open flame. It is light weight.well made (good stitching, good material, quality pegs / guide ropes provided etc. no complaints here).I found this to be very well ventilated (especially considering there are no built in vents!). The internal door is only made of mesh with a considerable portion of the inner tent also being made of mesh. You can also adjust the ventilation by the way in which you pitch the tent by having the rain cover come closer to the inner and thus closer to the ground giving less airflow or, alternatively, further from the inner giving a greater space around the base allowing for more airflow.Adjusting the pitch as mentioned above is made very easy by the quick adjustment straps / tensioning straps which work with a simple strap and buckle - very effective. The inner tent has suitable loops / fixing points to fit an internal ridge line which can prove very useful for drying off damp gear on wet days. Just don't expect to be hanging a weeks worth of clothes on there as you are limited for space with this being a one man tent. More than adequate for dying socks / gloves and a jacket if need be. Also very handy for hanging gear you want quick access to as ground space is reduced in all one man tents. The inner tent had good storage pockets with a very useful mesh pocket above the door being handy for anything from stuffing your torch in to act as a light holder or airing your socks.I am able to store all of my gear inside (generally a 40L rucksack for weekend trips) and sleep comfortably. I prefer this for preventing gear from getting wet or getting a backpack full slugs.Bad points:The sil nylon is (very) slippy! this can lead to your whole sleep system sliding around in the tent. This can be very noticeable and quite annoying if you are forced to pitch on ground which is not completely level, as often happens in Scotland. I solved this by putting some rubber pads from a bicycle puncture repair kit on the bottom of my sleeping matt to give it a bit extra grip (I also like to think i could peel them off and re-use if i get a puncture.... probably not but its a nice thought!).I would not call this a 4 season tent. As stated above it is well ventilated, I think this would be too cold for a heavy winter. Easily three season, I just don't think it will handle very heavy snow (maybe the version with a snow skirt solves this) and high winds in exposed areasThe outer rain fly does not attach to the inner frame, as a result all of the pegs / guide lines are NOT fixed to the inner frame, only the outer rain sheet. This means in high winds the outer rain fly can move over the frame. I feel simple velcro loops would greatly enhance this feature making the whole tent much more rigid in high winds. HOWEVER, this may be by design as the flexibility prevents all force being transferred directly to the pole (of which there is only one) possibly preventing snapping / failure of the pole. Although I suspect this is more likely cost cutting / oversight. just make sure you pitch with nose or better yet, tail, into the wind to reduce this effect (and also put less stress on the rain cover in high winds as the sides of the tent have a much greater surface area).Other notes:I am 5ft 11in and can comfortably lie straight in this tent with space both above my head and below my feet.Overall i think this is a really fantastic tent and would recommend it to anyone, especially for this price.

Price colour size and poles and pegs
At 1.7 kgs that's not a bad weight for this price range I thought I was getting the orange one never mind now the good thing is if it's raining hard you can stuff it in the bag without poles or pegs as a saver to getting wet in the woods I also would use very large tarp over the top three layers toastie plus it would save on winter strain (fatigue) it's ok for the price £103 or £100 for the orange but my grey and bergundy is attractive too even though I would have preferred green it has a footprint sheet but tbh that's purely a cosmetic for the greenies but it's light enough to carry the Y shaped pegs are good more or less indestructible the guys fluorescent green see in the dark and lastly the poles impossible to lose as they are all attached to a Y shaped shape two reds are the head end and the long silver from head to foot the foot print is cumbersome but clips in lay down the poles fit into hole three instead of four place foot end into wind aerodynamic shape but never side on as this will strain poles unless you are in a thick forest or against a wall or building leeside the vestibule is ok for cooking but not via a fire but Kelly kettle or hexamine cooker or gas even a methylated spirit trangia but keep at least 16 inches from material and roll footprint under tent first it's good on condensation to as it's double skinned triple with a tarp right guy ropes will easily fray pegs are only good for firm earth ground don't snap poles into place ,when up make sure nice an taut as then the rain rolls off if creased then water pockets occur excellent for woods and moors (if wind does not exceed 50mph feet end into wind 25 mph side on on beaches as it's free standing do not use pegs use bamboo or long twigs as pegs easily lost in sand and if you do use pegs there's always plastic colour to put through the string loops as markers the ground sheet is slippery but only if you find this a problem but only on a slanted floor all in all very good tent I will be using it for a year in France and Spain to walk the Santiago compostela then down to Portugal and then back to Spain walking the Guadalupe trail so if tent lasts one year with more or less everyday use then I will be happy

Really good light weight tent for the money. Spacious enough for me and a big dog.
