Plates beautiful but delivery sketchy
The plates are beautiful but the delivery person left this huge box on the dirt beside our mailbox at the end of our road instead of delivering it to our door. Luckily we got it before any theft occurred.

Pretty AND functional
I have a stack of Corelle bowls that I keep for everyday use, but for special occasions I prefer dinnerware that's a little fancier looking. The La Porcellana bowls work wonderfully in that regard. They are made of a thin porcelain that's much classier looking than Corelle, and the embossed design ("Tuscan inspired") makes the bowls visually interesting and attractive while being subtle enough to match with a wide variety of dinnerware patterns. Added plus: The bowls are dishwasher and microwave safe, which is an enormous benefit in my household. At 8 1/2 inches in diameter, they're big enough to hold standard recipes serving 4-8 people, but not so ginormous that storage becomes a problem.Currently priced at $32 for a set of two, the bowls are reasonably priced and would make a great wedding or housewarming present.

nice bowls
This is a different review. I absolutely love the bowl. One arrived shattered - i mean in a lot of pieces. They were stacked and boxed but the box was packed in a huge box with very little bubble wrap. That is the fault of the shipper and not Amazon and as I am a vine reviewer, I don't deal much with customer service on things like that.This bowl is very nice looking and although I just got it yesterday, already used it tonight. The size is just perfect for serving part of a meal, for holding cut berries for a dessert, and it is pretty and goes with everything.I'd highly recommend these bowls for family use or for entertaining.

Elegant and Practical Tuscan Porcelain Bowl
Curious how Italian porcelain differs from the Chinese type clay I have been used to I ordered these bowls. I am very well pleased with them. They are the size I will use as small serving bowls. Heavier than I expected they probably will not shatter as easily as thin porcelain. Dishwasher safe.A single bowl looks so elegant and pristine sitting on a living room side table filled with lemons for a winter display.They would make beautiful wedding, birthday or holiday gifts.Lovely, indeed!
