It is definitely written to the middle school age and very easy to understand
I am enjoying reading this set very much. It is definitely written to the middle school age and very easy to understand. I haven't gotten far enough along to notice if there are anything wrong. I love how it puts some of the information in story-like form and other times tells the reader directly.

Not a special price
My review is not based on the content of the book but rather the price. At $75 a set, this is not a special price as stated in the description. Individually, you can order all five paperback books for $8-10 each.

Average chapter is 10 pages and the authors have taken some potentially heavy and unreadable material and made it easy to digest
I just borrowed a copy to read through. I'm very excited about this for my kids and I'm purchasing the whole set. I never learned much of church history outside of the bible and I'm going to learn quite a bit myself. Average chapter is 10 pages and the authors have taken some potentially heavy and unreadable material and made it easy to digest. I think my 10 year old is ready for it, but I think it's best for junior high ages and up. Big thumbs up from us.

Well done.
This is a wonderful collection of stories about people who have been promenant in church history. I wasn't sure how it would all be presented in the first books, but found that the authors simply presented events from church history without really taking sides. Was very pleased to use as a "bed time series" with my children.
