Quality product for a very reasonable price.

This thing comes out of the box and works just like they said it would. Great work they have done. Even with the sand weight it still tries to float for awhile, but as the air releases it gradually sinks. Looks very nice, and I am very happy with it.

Worked perfect for what I needed

Was looking for a set of inground pool stairs to temporarily work for the pool in the townhouse I just bought. After searching for some time, came across this Confer Plastics product, but this model wasn't originally on Amazon. Once I noticed it was on Amazon, I purchased right away and was not disappointed. Very easy to put together, by myself and was able to get it in the pool by myself. I added 50 lbs of sand and pebble material as I did some reading that weighting it down was important. Once I got it situated, it did not float at all. I do suggest eventually anchoring to pool deck or concrete pad, but the last month of this pool season I have just put 12x12 bring pavers to help hold it in place. My kids think it is great and now I have steps for my older friends to get in and out of pool. Couldn't be happier......

Great set of stairs

These stairs are sturdy and the height is perfect. I purchased these after reviewing a lot of stairs and this one got some pretty good reviews, the price is right for what I needed, I have a few elderly people who come over and using the ladder is a little bit hard sense there on the side of the pool and in the deep end. The directions where simple and direct, when it came time to put the sand in I opted to use pee stones instead I used a bag an a half and washed them off we filled it to the top and then finished assembling. Now ones in the pool you will have to lay the stairs down at an angle so all the air comes out this will take about 30 minutes or so but ones you do the stairs will not move and then you can place them about 4 inches away from the wall so you can clean behind them and bolt the stairs to the cement and make sure to put the remaining screws into the side of the bracket to hold it in place and then enjoy your new stairs.

Great Success!

Our pool is older and only has a ladder. This of course was very hard for our older Moms to get out of the pool. I did a lot of research and based on the reviews, decided to go with these stairs. I am very pleased with my purchase. The directions where very easy to follow and my husband and I had it together within a couple of hours. We decided to fill the stairs with sand. Many people had great ideas to weigh them down that I feel we should have tried but my husband thinks we can get them out of the water for the winter close-up. We ended up putting 50 lbs. of sand in them. This is the reason it took so long to put them together. Filling the sand took quite a while. The play sand we got was damp so it would clump up. We ended up cutting a gallon jugs top off and using that as a funnel.Putting them in the water took a little time. I got in the water and my husband handed them down to me. We had to move them up and down to fill them up with water but when they finally got full thet settled down. We probably could have done this without me getting in the water but I was nervous about them hitting the back of the wall and damaging the liner. They do not float up and seem pretty secure. Our biggest problem was securing them to the cement. We tried to drill into the cement and could not get through even with a cement drill bit. Since this is a old pool we believe that they used a lot of stone in the mix. My husband ended up securing them to the casteing around the pool, then we used two pieces of resin under the pieces that connect it to the pool side, because of our casteing we could not secure them flat to the cement. We did buy bath mats to go under the steps. They where used for the first time and where a big success. The kids loved them and we got a big thank you from them. I believe for the money they where a great deal.

Straight edges needed

It seems sure enough, however if you have ANY alight curve at the floor of your pool, this won’t work. I really wanted this to work and it seems like it’s perfect for a straight edge pool.

No issues getting any aged person in or out of your pool safely.

These are sturdy, wide steps. Everyone from 4-years through 67 years were able to safely get into and out of the pool, both humans and dogs, LOL. Summer is supposed to be fun and it's the pool owner's responsibility to make it safe. These steps are wonderful and will last for years. Easy to assemble but we did need to weight them down with cement filled PVC pipes, two of them. Then they were tied under the steps. Worked out great.
