Mine didn't come with a disk like the picture shows, but I guess that doesnt matter. Works better than expected. However my wiiU sometimes has trouble connecting even though the lights are on that indicate there is a signal going through. For whatever reason it doesn't connect to the internet even though it's a direct line. Other than that, when the internet does finally click in with it, it works perfectly. It also works on the switch. Maybe it's just my wiiU having the problem, but other than that I am bery happy with rhe purchase

If you have a Wii U and have any connections issues, you need this. It dramatically improved our Wii U experience in multiple ways. We no longer have errors when playing online games, and with my spotty wifi, we no longer have constant stops and loading screens when trying to watch Amazon Prime movies.Setup was quick and very easy. If it doesn't work out of the box, go to the highest rated review for this item and follow the instructions there (basically just disconnecting the wifi connection and choosing wired).Also, I am using this with the TP Link Powerline networking adapters and it works flawlessly.

Although the package does not specify Wii/Wii U support, it works flawlessly with my Wii U console.However, I did encounter the following difficulties when installing the device, but it was due to Wii U's design:I have an external hard drive attached to the Wii U, which occupies two USB ports (one for data, one for power).When I plugged the LAN adapter into another USB slot, the system did not recognize it at first and failed to connect to the Internet.If that occurs, simply power down the console, unplug the external HDD, boot up with only the LAN adapter attached, set up Internet connection, and then reboot with the external HDD attached back on.This error also occurred before when I was using wireless connection (usually after a system software update), so I am sure it was due to Wii U's design.

I plugged this into a USB port on the back of my Wii U since the front ports were used on an external hard drive's Y-splitter. I got it working quickly in the Wii U Internet settings menu and haven't had any issues with it. As it turns out, my problem wasn't wifi interference as Nintendo's tech support suggested from my error codes; it was just my ISP having line troubles that may or may not be resolved now. Now my wifi and this adapter work equally well (barring ISP problems). So in some sense, this was an unnecessary purchase for my situation, but at least it fairly cheaply let me rule out wifi as the problem. Gives me more leverage to complain to my ISP now. ;)

I purchased an original Nintendo Wii from a pawn shop, but it wouldn't stay connected to wifi. I even called Nintendo Support, but it refused to stay connected long enough to get through system updates, so it effectively did not have wifi capabilities. I purchased this piece of hardware so I could hard wire the Wii to my cable modem and it worked perfectly. It immediately was connected to the Internet, downloaded system updates, and was ready to go. I believe I have had it for about a month now with no issues. I read that some of these types of devices wouldn't work for the Wii, but in my experience, this brand/model does. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought this to alleviate latency issues with my Wii U. Since the Wii U does not support 5ghz and I didn't want interference from the already crowded 2.4ghz spectrum, wired was the best choice to make. This works perfectly with the Wii U and the setup couldn't be simpler. Plug it in, wire it up, go to your Internet settings on the Wii U, switch to wired, done. Most would think the 100Mbit connection would be a limitation, but select few ISPs provide more than that. Additionally, the Wii U only has USB 2.0 ports, so there isn't much room for improvement with a gigabit adapter.

I purchased this adapter after reading that it would work with the Wii U. It worked perfectly!I just plugged the device into a free usb port on my Wii U, then went into settings and switched my connection from Wireless to wired. The first test failed but I believe it was due to my router leasing an I.P address for the device. After the second test it passed instantly.As far as performance the 10/100 connection seems solid. Games also download about 80% faster but of course this depends on your network and speed.

Purchased for use with my Wii U. I was experiencing drop outs over WI-FI when playing the online game Splatoon. Splatoon requires real-time data updates from all others players online so network connectivity is vital. After installing this network adapter and directly connecting to the internet, the drop outs ended and the game play was much, much smoother and responsive.If you are playing Wii U games online and you don't have a decent WI-FI connection, then try adding buying one of these to fix your problems.
