Lake Valley Seed 859 Organic Kale Red Winter Seed Packet, 2gm

I bought these because of the WINTER in the name. I was under the assumption that they would grow in the cold. I planted them before the first frost, but all they did was sprout, and that was all. I'll try them again in the spring. Perhaps it's the winter that they don't like.

I bought Chinese Cabbage seeds. The package contained Mustard Greens seeds. I discovered this after I had tilled and fertilized the soil, planted the seeds, separated the plants and then saw them develop. I called Lake Valley and was told the following: 1) Lake Valley gets their seeds from overseas. 2) Lake Valley simply tests the seeds to make sure they germinate. 3) Lake Valley does not confirm that the plant that grows is the seed that is on the package. 4) Lake Valley's standard for complaints is to send people free seed samples. (I did not want that because the planting time was over and who knows what would be in the packages.) I then found out that one of my colleagues had the same problem with Lake Valley. He bought one type of seed package. After it grew he discovered it was not what was on the package. I would not buy their product again.
