ORIJEN's small breed puppy dry food boasts high protein content from a variety of primary animal ingredients. It may be worth noting that ORIJEN is not one of the "big 4" brands recognized to be compliant with the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) guidelines for pet food. This may raise concerns for pet owners prioritizing evidence-based diets for their puppies. However, I am absolutely okay w/ supplementing my pup's primary kibble with other brands, using them for training treats throughout the day to maintain his interest. ORIJEN's small kibble size is ideal for this purpose. Although I've not personally conducted a taste test, my pup goes wild for it, and it effectively motivates him during our training sessions. He hasn't experienced any gastrointestinal issues, so I would not hesitate to continue using it.

I'm not an expert in the dog food area but I've learned the value of feeding good quality foods over the years. I've had furbabies my whole life, usually 3 to 5 at any given time. I've seen what a poor diet can do to their health. So I've learned to actively seek out higher quality foods.My goal is always to find kibble that has meat as the first ingredient. As most are aware, ingredients are listed in the order of most content to least. I always feel good about it when I find a brand of kibble with meat listed beyond the first ingredient. I'm beyond impressed to see that meat products are the first NINE ingredients listed for this Orijen puppy food. The fact that it contains 85% animal ingredients, as opposed to grains and other fillers, is incredibly impressive. The ingredient list is mind blowing, in terms of containing good quality ingredients.The kibble itself is sized perfectly small for ease of consumption and good digestion. It has a wholesome, fresh aroma that my dogs immediately tune into. I let my three adult dogs sample it, in addition to the puppy, to see how palatable it was. They all gobble it down like they're starving. So it's safe to assume that it smells and tastes very good to them.Also impressive, is that it's made by Champion Petfoods, right here in my home state of Kentucky. This is the first "wholeprey" food that I've tried and I am beyond impressed. It just checks every box for promoting good development. Obviously, it's a bit pricey, but it's worth it. If you can't afford to feed this exclusively, I'd recommend at least supplementing with it.

I ordered this as I occasionally like to change things up for my two dogs. I was actually hoping to find a topper or add in to their regular kibble and thought I would give this a try. I am so happy I did! The size of the kibble is very small, about half the size of dry cat food kibble, making it perfect as a mix in or for tiny pups. It smells great and apparently has an equally great taste as my pups have gobbled every bit up at each meal. The ingredients appear to be high quality and you receive a decent quantity for the price, comparable to other similar dog foods. Aside from high quality meat, poultry and seafood, this also contains beans, lentils, dried fruits , pumpkin and squash. Perfect for growing pups and for my adult dogs as well. I will definitely be ordering another bag!

Love the ingredients just wish my dog did. Smells fishy, small bites for smaller dogs.Smells fresh, and looking at the ingredients I was excited to give this a shot for my very picky dog.She just wouldn’t eat it, either that being said. Based on the ingredients the presentation, and the overall freshness I give 4 stars.But dog won’t eat it so not sure if she would like it.

Teeny tiny kibble with solid ingredient list. My dogs actually love it; so much so that one of them chewed up the box that it came in since it smelled so good. I use it as treats because it is so small and I can treat a lot as I train.
