We bought 3 of these locks in different colors for each person in our family. The locks are well designed, work exactly as they are supposed to, open and close smoothly. It is easy to set the lock to the combination of your choice and re-set it as often as you want. I am very impressed with the quality and ease of use. An added bonus I was not expecting was the holder that mounts to the bike to hold the lock while you are riding. It is pictured with the locks, but I hadn't paid attention to it. These holders mounted easily to the bikes and the lock slides smoothly in and out of the holder when you push the red button on the holder. The locks are colorful and cute. I am very happy with this purchase. Absolutely recommend.Someone complained their instructions were only in Chinese so I photographed the English instructions to share here.

I purchased the GoFriend bike lock for my 10 year old son who recently began riding his bicycle to school. The package shipped and arrived incredibly quickly. To my dismay, the packaging and documentation explaining operation of the lock was entirely in Chinese. Thankfully, another Amazon shopper had posted a picture of their instructions in English after seeing others complaints. With instructions in hand, my son was able to select and set his combination of choice and successfully test locking his bicycle the night before school. As he left for school the next morning his lock slipped out of the harness attached to his seat post and hit the ground. The fall caused the clip on the combination head to break off rendering the ability to clip it back into the harness impossible. Cheap plastic! Disappointing experience. Would not buy again nor recommend.

Fairly sturdy lock. Easy to open-close. As other reviewers have said, this is probably not a lock you want to use overnight somewhere or in a desolate area. I think a pair of heavy duty lock cutters could cut through it, but that’s not what I bought it for. I lock it up when I am out at a restaurant or at the grocery store. Works great for my needs. Fits nicely on the bike with the included holder. Stays out of the way while I ride. I purchased a second one for another bike. Quite happy with my purchases.

Bought these for one of our homeless shelters because some of their clients had their bikes stolen. They could talk to the client to find a combination that was easy to remember and then set it. If the client ever forgot the combination, the shelter would have it recorded.

They had a difficult time managing the coil of the cable. The lock mechanism itself was easy to use and set. The cable does seem pretty thick, but I didn't do a bolt cutter test on them so I can't attest to the "high security" claim, but I'm not putting them on a $2,000 bike either. It looks secure enough that it will keep most away. Be aware, depending on how your seat attaches to the frame you may not be able to use the included mount, or you might have to remove a rear deflector as was the case for one of our bikes. We simply chose to coil the cable around the frame instead.

Great! However, I didn't notice how much larger the lock is then the cord and therefore did not fit through the space I needed to lock. So make sure whatever you are trying to secure has a large opening.

Attached these to my children's scooters and they were great. Really easy to set and use. Children are seven and nine.

This is a great lock for the price. The plastic mounting bracket seems to be sturdy and holds the lock to the bike in a steady manner. There are also rubber inserts that can be used in the case that the bracket is to large/small for the post it is connected to.
