A good product but does require some skill to install
Installed a few months still charged and holds a charge as well as the original battery. It could have been packaged a little better but it got here when expected.Installation was straight forward and I did the job start to finish in just over an hour. Could have gone faster but it wasn't a race and it was my wife's iPad so I was a little extra careful with how I handled things.About installation, Apple never intended for you to do this job and this is not like changing a watch battery. If you are not experienced with modern portable electronics and mechanically inclined, find someone else to do this for you. If you are experienced or a brave soul that does not walk away from a challenge here are my tips.Watch ALL of the YouTube videos about this before you start. They all cover it a little differently and they all seem to leave something out.Do the best you can to completely discharge the old battery before disassembley but keep in mind that a lithium battery may have a bad controller and there could be plenty 0f energy still in the cells.Remove everything from the case before attempting to remove the battery. Lithium batteries are dangerous when damaged and react very badly to being bent, punctured, or over heated. There is a reason they are not allowed to ship on an airplane. If you don't have any experience with this type of battery, do the final removal of the battery outdoors someplace fireproof. Yeah, that's for real. The disassembley is the hard part, once the old battery is out installing the new one is easy.

Performs like the same as the 5 years old battery I replaced
Annoying that adhesive was not included, although it described as included. This battery is performing worse than the 5 years old original battery that came with the iPad.I systematically followed the proper procedures for new batteries, not that it came with the battery, I just happened to know how.The battery performs equally like a 5 years old battery, it does not seem to be a bad battery, just a cheap version of the real thing, it is not a defective just poorly made, I will put back the original battery and return this one.The battery comes without any basic information on how to properly charge and use it the first few times after installed. If you are planning to replace an iPad air’ Battery, ignore most instructions, you only have to remove the screen and digitizer, no need to remove antenna, speakers etc, don’t waste time and risking causing damaged to your device.

Grade “F”
Although appears to be right battery, came with tools new glue strips, installs easy if you follow some basic skills and you-tube videos— but then after a full charge it starts. Ipad reboots without warning sometimes 3 minutes sometimes 45 minutes. All the fourms say a bunch of diffrent cures none of which worked. Finally had to buy a new ipad was not going to waste another dime on another battery an risk damage to the case, components. Yes a fail grade if it were a school peroject and a waste of time and now 10 times the money. Burning dollar bills on a cold day would be more useful.

The only tools you need for an iPad repair
In addition to a heat gun (a "rework station") and some spare playing cards to supplement the guitar picks in this product, you should not need any other tools for an iPad repair. Heating the edges of the screen and using the flat, thin metal tool in this kit, I was able to disassemble the iPad safely with no damage, then replace the battery and re-assemble successfully after installing a new battery. I found the suction cup unnecessary (I actually purchase more "substantial" suction cups, but did not need them - just the flat tool.)Make sure to search for YouTube videos on the repari you are making and watch several, as you will see various techniques used for a specific repair.

This comes with no instructions and is EXTREMELY difficult to fix an iPad battery!!
I got this hoping to replace my daughters battery in her iPad Air2 but as I got into it it proved to be WAY more difficult than I expected!! I only gave two stars because I feel as though they should have at least sent some kind of instructions but NOTHING! I ended up breaking the LCD screen of the iPad and had to buy a new one because the cost to have someone now fix it would have cost almost as much as a new iPad. I feel like they dropped the ball on the instructions aspect of this product!

Not an easy install but keeps a good charge now
My 3+ year old Ipad Air was worthless with its worn out battery. Now it's like new again. Holds a charge for hours. Remove and replace the Ipad battery the first time is not easy - the battery is under the LCD and the digitizer screen -- watch Youtube videos and take your time. Buy the battery first (you'll get some helpful removal tools). If you crack your screen (mine was already cracked), you can get a new one on Amazon for under $20. Good luck!
