Carrot Stix Wild Wild Orange Spinning Rods

The placement of the hook keeper snags the line often. The top nut holding the reel on untwists itself often. I find that I end up tightening the nut after every cast so the reel doesn't pop off during a bite. The rod itself feels like it lacks a core. Not necessarily too light because I use it on light tackle but every hook set feels like it is about to snap. I am going to end up grinding off the hook keeper and gluing the nut in place to make is usable, then just have to hope it doesn't snap on a hook set.Update: Well the rod snapped on a hook set. It did not even last one summer.

I absolutely love this rod. Purchased primarily as a bass rod, but the sensitivity and feel of this rod made it do a great job fishing for perch and jigging for walleye. The rod is nice and strong but extremely light and sensitive. The light weight was really appreciated while riding my bike to the lake, or when I went backpacking. I can’t recommend this rod enough!

Never heard of this brand until I took a chance on buying it. It has quickly become one of my favorite fishing rods for freshwater bottom fishing for Carp and Catfish. Lightweight, MH action very fast response and amazingly sensitive to sending signals to your hand. Very impressed even though it is as orange as a carrot stick.

The look of the rod is great. The first time I used it, I noticed the actual rod portion that seats inside the handle is wrongfully loose and jiggles all around while fishing and isn’t secure at all. I’d love to return it, even for another, but unfortunately when I finally got around to using it, the return window had expired. It’s a $100 rod that’s unusual even for anything other than hanging on the wall.

I bought this as a gift for my fiance who hasn't had a chance to use it yet. It has a good feel to it though and seems to be well put together.

Very happy with the rod. Great feel and looks amazing.
