They really are BIG!
I bought 2 of these and assembled them on my own. They were a bit more challenging to assemble than I expected. The wrench included makes tightening the bolts much easier, as I didn't see it until I was almost done with the first chair. They are semi heavy and odd sized to carry or move, making them fine for home and moving every now and then -- but I would not want to move these very often and would not take them anywhere. The boards are a nice weather proof material and I expect they will last a long time, but they are a bit thinner than I expected. Or at least not as firm as I would have expected, but that is also nice in that it makes them a bit more flexible and comfortable. I just had a bit of a concern that they may break, but they may be just fine. I also noticed where some of the bolts go into the boards where I was concerned it may not be strong enough that it has a metal casing in which the bolt screws into in the boards so I suspect that will give it more strength. The color I was not wild about, but now on the deck I am glad that I got this color as it makes for a more classy look. They are also much bigger than normal adirondack chairs which at first I was not sure if it was going to be too big and look out of place, but now on my deck of which isn't all that big they look fine. I also like the roominess of them and I can lean back and rest my head on the back as they are tall. I tried putting cushions on them as well, but I think they are more comfortable without them. They just form to your body well. Also, I had 2 footrests from another set of deck chairs and I used one of them and let me just say that having a foot rest to go with these is a must! They are comfortable as is, but when you have a footrest it really makes them even more comfortable. They do squeak a bit when you move or sit down on them. That may be just because they are new and I just have had them for a day. I like that the front has a arch and not a 90 degree drop, as I think that makes them more comfortable and look like a higher end model. If you get more than 2 you may wish to take a day or two break between assembling them as it was rather a project putting them together and I sure would not have wanted to do more than 2 in a evening. I ordered for in store delivery and I think it was at around 10 days for delivery. I do like that they fold though so I can store them inside in the winter and put them up when I restain the deck.
