I've had this projector for a few days now, and my initial impressions are pretty positive. First off, the packaging was well-designed—compact and sturdy, giving the product a premium feel right out of the box. Unpacking it was straightforward, and the projector itself has a sleek, minimalist design that feels solid and well-made.When it comes to usage, its portability is definitely a strong point. It's lightweight and easy to carry around, making it perfect for camping trips or backyard setups. I've already used it a couple of times for outdoor movie nights, and the battery life has held up well, lasting through one to two films without needing a recharge.One feature I particularly liked is the gimbal design, which allows the projector to rotate in multiple directions. This makes it really flexible, and it's been convenient to adjust the projection to different surfaces without any fuss. The real-time image correction is also a nice touch—wherever I point it, the picture adjusts automatically, so I don't have to worry about distorted images.As for picture quality, it's solid for casual use, especially in low-light environments. The built-in speakers are decent but nothing special, so I'd recommend pairing it with external speakers for a better audio experience. Overall, in the few days I've had it, this projector has impressed me with its design, ease of use, and the added flexibility the gimbal provides.

Update After 3 Months——————————-Still a great projector but missing some key features. I’ve been assured by customer support that it will be fixed.Biggest issue - the projector does not turn on with the remote, even if it remains plugged in.Other minor issues:- When the battery is dead, the projector needs to charge for a few minutes before it can turn on- The software is sluggish whenever the projector startsBesides that, it’s still great. And the customer support has been helpful. Hopefully, these issues get fixed soon.———-—- Old Review —————I did a lot of research before picking this up and I can confidently say that this projector is one of the best in its class.Pros:- Battery Life: It is so convenient. Especially because it’s built in. It just makes life so much easier, especially when setting up. I’m no longer limited by outlets when setting things up. And battery life is more than decent. Almost never have to think about it.- Picture: It looks good :) I like the keystoning. Can be a little off sometimes, but just jiggle the projector and it usually corrects. Works decently in lit rooms, and great in the dark.- Sound: Very decent, especially for its form factor.- GTV, WiFi, and Remote: It’s just so convenient to have it all in one place, and not have to carry around a chromecast or something. And it’s fast!- Gimbal: It’s not a tripod, but I’m happy that it’s built in.But it’s not perfectCons:- Remote can’t turn it off when powered off: This one is an annoying. As far as I can tell, when the projector fully powers off, the remote cannot turn it back on. I can understand this behavior when on battery, but it also doesn’t work when the projector is plugged in. This is annoying and I hope it gets fixed soon.- Carrying Case: it’s decent but bulky. I wish it was slimmer and smaller. It does a good job of protecting the projector though.- Bluetooth only mode can only be turned on from the projector settings. This makes it extremely annoying to use as a portable speaker, because you need to turn on the projector beam, go to settings, and then turn off the projector beam.- 3D mode: I have not been able to get it to work at all.I hope these issues get fixed with firmware updates.But even with that, I really think that this projector is the best in its class for 2024. I’ve tested it directly against the XGimi Mogo 3 Pro, and this does everything I need better. And the price is decent. I recommend

I picked up the PicoFlix because of its portable size and built-in battery. Its bottle-like shape fits easily in my bag. The battery lasts around 180 minutes, enough for a full-length movie. It works well with my Switch for gaming, though Game Mode helps with lag. The colors are more vibrant than my previous projector, and the sound quality from the dual speakers is decent. The brightness is around 450 lumens, so it's best for darker spaces, but that’s fine for me. Google Cast works seamlessly, and the remote includes Netflix and YouTube shortcuts, which is a nice touch.

It stopped working and I can’t fix or get a replacement

After my old Samsung 3D TV hit the dirt, I was searching for a replacement. Unfortunately, the availability of reasonably priced 3d sets of essentially nonexistent. So, searched for 3D capable projectors. Found this little gem which was promoted as a battery operated portable for outdoor use. Well I wasn’t in the market for a giant bug light, but thought it ought to work indoors as well. Bottom line: it worked great. I rarely use it on battery ( the battery lasts for a couple of hours, give or take, depending on projector settings). The 3D function met my expectations. It’s active 3D (I prefer passive, but home projection uses active). The projector is loaded with adjustments and there is a learning curve, but I actually enjoyed the discovery process. The picture quality is very good and it's watchable in semi-bright conditions.I added a Vizio sound bar and all is well. Early on I was in email contact with JMGO and found their customer service to be very responsive.
