Extension to your car infotainment, but compatibility issues and expensive
I got this little kit to enable me to run programmes that I use on my phone but are not available to me in the car.My partner already knew about Carlinkit, so he believed that it would be up to the job. This little device is a powerful and versatile in-car adapter that runs Android 13, and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which enables you to load apps from the Play Store. It already comes pre-installed with loads of apps, including Google Maps, Spotify, YouTube Music, Waze, YouTube and Netflix. You can get internet via WiFi or SIM card. Before buying it you have to ensure your car is compatible – it has to be equipped with Apple CarPlay, and iPhones have to be iPhone 6 and above and iOS10 and above, and if you have Android it has to be 11.0 and above, and supports Android Auto. It is not compatible with BMW.The connection is simple as it is Plug and Play – you just have to connect the wireless adapter to your USB port and follow the instructions.Today’s vehicles are equipped with ever more sophisticated in-car navigation and infotainment systems, but they still have difficulty in matching what a phone can do, and that is where this little device comes in, as it basically allows you to bring all the power of your phone to your car – from Google maps to YouTube. This device therefore bridges the gap for those who want to have ever more sophisticated systems in their car.My partner is new fangled with it. I am very lukewarm about it. I use my car to get from A to B, as does he. We don’t spend a lot of time sitting in it and using entertainment systems, but I know that this is what some people want. You really have to do your homework though before buying it as compatibility is the main issue and you need to be sure it is going to work with your car and phone model before forking out what is currently around £150, which I think is on the expensive side for what it is. Then if you change your car and phone, you may be left with an expensive tool which is no longer compatible.

Slow, Crashing, Unclear, Annoying DO NOT BUY
The media could not be loaded. This is absolutely ridiculous... nothing in this device works as it should, friend of mine had similar one but from different company and it was great, ordered this one 2 days ago and i am returning it tomorrow... absolute was of time... after you restart your engine (eg stop in a shop) it will keep crashing, very annoying and unreliable... moving onto Ottocaat and I will definitely avoid Carlinkitn

Does the job
This does the job well if you know how to set it up. The main purpose of this was to get many apps I have on my phone onto my screenThis works perfectly if you know how to do it and it keeps the kids entertained. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine. It works well with little latency and it's very stable
