Classic Fountain Pen Kit - Chrome, 6 Pack

Nice looking but feels cheap and the quality is suspect. I will go back to the better quality but more expensive kits from PSI.

For some reason there is an idea that turning fountain pens is a step up in difficulty. Nothing can be further from the truth. These kits are easier to turn and easier to assemble than the basic slimline kit. They only cost more and are more elegant when complete. The multi pack has six kits...I did screw one up, but attached is the five I completed, and I am by no stretch of the imagination an expert turner. I highly recommend and happy turning!

Not happy with this kit at all. I turn pens for a living and this particular kit has a number of flaws that make it almost impossible to attach my name to, here's some of the issues I've run across.1: The center band has been made to compress on outside of brass barrel instead of creating an international compression nib, which makes it hard for beginners to accurately turn proper dimensional thickness.2: The threading inside cap barrel is a plastic ring that has been glued in instead of metal like the rest of the threading on the kit. This makes it easy to strip out, and it ALWAYS has to be glued in.3: Again with the threading, no one took the time to calculate the turns on the threads so when you attach the pen cap onto the back of pen the clip never lines up with proper alignment with the nib, makes it look and feel clumsy and awkward.4: The plastic used is EXTREMELY reactive to solvents, if a solvent touches the plastic it INSTANTLY get gummy and sticky. There are way better materials to be used for those parts that are much more durable.5: And lastly, this kit is advertised as an entry level fountain pen kit, well it's not. This kit will iratat a beginner into quitting. Between the crap materials and awful assembly it make it difficult to get a great product in the end, and especially a product that I personally wouldn't want to put my name on and sell.6: the Only reason it didn't get one star, it weights incredibly well, dosen't leak and package arrived when they said it would, so kudos for that I guess...OH YAH one more thing..ZERO instructions on assembly, luckily I know how these kit work and had no issues, but a beginner would pull their hair out.

Great pens but you need some know how on the tenon for the cap. One pen can sell for what this kit costs. 10mm barings and bit.

No bushing and no instructions included.

These pens are beautiful once turned but of the three I gifted, not one of them has worked. I have spent hours troubleshooting the ink flow and everything points to the quality of the pen. I bought new ink, nothing. It is also hard to make it straight, it crooks to one side or the other and takes some manipulating. I love PSI projects, but this one is a bust for sure!

The parts don’t fit well or tightly. The piece ends up crooked and not at all solid.
