I admit, my water intake is very very poor. My soda intake, on the other hand? Significant. I'd maybe go so far as to say "excessive" - but one problem I've faced is that cans aren't great for portability, and filling up most other bottles from a bigger one tends to result in a flat and disappointing soda experience.This little bottle does the trick magnificently. It's got a lid like you'd find on an old glass bottle of soda, and the carbonation compatibility being the reason I bought it, this does the trick excellently. You can open via the lid, or unscrew about a quarter of the way down to expose a much larger opening (ooh-er, missus!) which is very easy to fill and holds probably about 680 of the 700ml capacity. The large opening (fnarr fnarr) also allows for easy application of ice cubes on the three warm days we get per year in Scotland, which is also a nice bonus.It's quite interesting that it looks so much like glass that half the time when you pick it up, you're almost surprised it's plastic, so it's durable but doesn't look awful/cloudy, and it's easy to clean too. Definitely worth a purchase if you like soda on the go.(I'm sure it's fine for stuff like water too, but who wants to drink water? Meh!)

These bottles are fantastic and I have re-bought them. Because they unscrew in two places -- the normal bottle-top and a wider opening a third of the way down -- they are great for filling pouring and drinking. They last well and are fine in the dishwasher. After a couple of years, acid drinks can wear away the plastic shine, but I've found that rinsing them straight after use helps slow this process. No leaks at all, except for one time when the top wasn't screwed fully in (you need to remember to screw both openings closed, not just the one you used).I agree with another reviewer: they are too big for a small handbag (more briefcase-sized). I wish they made them smaller, as I only fill them 1/3 to 1/2 full.

Good for normal water but found sparkling water went flat quickly because seems like the top is not air tight enough, disappointed. Update was a bit hasty, but some fizzy water in and still fizzy the bext day, so does it ok.
