I have a number of harnesses for my dogs as well as a variety of seatbelt restraints. I don't believe I've ever seen a review on how any of these hold up in an accident, which is why I gave it only 4 stars. However, I really like how easily it attaches to the headrest, and it gives my dog more mobility than the straps that engage into the seatbelt housing. I have some that hook around a seatbelt and find those very inconvenient. So of all that I have, I like this the best for ease of use and functionality. Just remember, these need to hook onto a car-safety harness, not your regular walking harness!

I'm a rescue dog transporter and was at first dubious about the strength of these, as I transport some very large breeds and I take security and safety seriously. I needn't have worried! I've used these on several runs now and I'm VERY happy. So much so, I was telling other transporters about them and ended up giving one away. I'm ordering more today! Because most rescued dogs are flight risks, I use two on two different head restraints and attach them both to the harness, not because they aren't strong enough alone, but because I can unfasten one at a time whilst settling the dogs down. They KNOW when one is unfastened and tend to try and bolt, but they can't go anywhere until I unclip the second. I very highly recommend both for rescue transporting and family dogs.

This is absolutely perfect. My 2 standard poodles get in there backseat of the truck and with the old type that click into the seatbelt thing they used to step on them and unhook themselves. PROBLEM SOLVED with these. Great quality.

Super like the design of going over the headrest but the stitching popped completly out on one. Thought maybe it was a fluke. The platic buckle broke on the other one. Still wasn't upset then the stitching on that one popped out. Could these be made to be worse?

One good yank and the plastic length adjuster crumbled. Thank goodness it wasn't in a wreck

I really like this and am happy with myself that I chose this one after my research. I tried it out Saturday and took my two dogs on an outing. I have a rescue and her 5 month old puppy; a puppy who is bigger than she is. It was the first car trip for the two of them together and it went great! We rode around the neighborhood before going out into traffic and then to Starbucks for Puppichinos. I stopped once along the way to shorten the straps, the dogs had a great time, and I consider it a great success. I haven't tried using the belts as a lead yet but plan to do that soon. I highly recommend these.

I attached the dog seat belt around the middle headrest on the back seat. Works great. Attach to the harness where you would attach the leash and you're done. Love that it's adjustable. I put a non-skid bath mat on the seat so my dog doesn't slide around. She loves it. Glad I purchased this item.

These seat belts are perfect, I will actually be throwing my others away.These are the best because they go over the headrest which keeps the dog centered onthe seat. The other seat belts hook into the car seat belt latch which puts thedog to close to the driver and not centered. I was actually using my other seat belts over the headrest but it wasn't manufactured to work that way. These ones are. So if you are looking for a seat belt don't lookany further buy these ones.

I install it over the back headrest & attach it to my dog's 🐕 harness. Very easy to use, not a great deal of stretch, peace of mind, legal but I sometimes forget my dog is attached, I call her out of the car & she can't move!!
