I love these gloves so much - they give you amazing confidence and protection.
For mid-level, high quality boxing gloves, you'd be hard pressed to look beyond a solid pair of twins special (unless you want to go a step further and invest in a pair of grants or cleto reyes but they will set you back a WEDGE).First of all the look. I bought these in a unique black and luminous green and I feel really proud of them when I take them out and use them at my muay thai gym. Brand new, you can smell the quality of the leather and it is a supple, sturdy leather, oozing high-quality.I bought the 16oz as I'm quite a big lad and they looked bigger then the 16oz lonsdales I used previously (which I would NOT recommend whatsoever). This is obviously great for guarding, blocking and parrying, but trying to penetrate tight gaps quickly can sometimes be harder then it should be. In this case, I would recommend the 14oz' as they are marginally smaller and more penetrative but of course, you'll be less protected when guarding. The padding on the front of the glove is significant and straight and your hands feel like they're being hugged by clouds when your punching. The wrist strap is massive and as the glove itself sits quite low on the arm, your wrist feels locked into place, crucial when hooking or throwing uppercuts.Next the feel and use of the gloves. One thing you must realise - they are TIGHT when you first put them on, even without wraps. Don't let this sway, in fact you should have faith that these are a sign of a great quality glove. The place for the thumb is a great place to be and feels SO secure, giving you the most amazing confidence in striking with full commitment and force. The fact that the wrist straps lie so low on the arm does wonders for the support of your whole fist and protects you when throwing power punches and combos.I can't speak highly enough about this glove. I'm going to Thailand next year (where these gloves are made) and I'm going to buy a couple more pairs because I love them so much. If your on the fence when choosing your next set of boxing gloves, you can't go wrong with a decent set of twins.

Great quality gloves and very good value.
I bought these as a step up from slightly cheaper gloves and as an alternative to the very expensive gloves you can get. They are brilliant quality, very comfortable and very well made. I got 16 ouncers and they protect my hands and wrists way better than my previous gloves, no wonder they get great reviews. I think these will last me years. Highly recommended.

Great product
I had 5 or so other pairs of gloves but these are really high quality and even after countless hours of usage, they still hold up.comfortable, made for muay thai, and high quality.they are cool and might be cheaper in the long run than a more economical pair as these pack value. Buy if you are serious about the sport and you want to do it for more than 6 months.you don’t need it if you practice muay thai in a fitness environment as these are specifically made for clinching, etc. which might not be relevant for pure fitness applications.also i feel like you need a bit of skill to pull them off ;)

Decent
I have now used these gloves for a year, and they have been quite great. They're a great beginner glove as they're quite bulky and helps with having a tight guard. The leather feels great, the inside is nice and tight, so much that I stopped using wraps for a while as the wrist support is really strong and the padding is nice and thick. The main issues I have with these gloves started wearing down quite quickly - just after 3 months of use I started seeing slight discolouration. I do understand that a lot of it can come from doing up the Velcro with the glove, but I was using my mouth for that a lot of the time to keep the gloves nice and red. Secondly the gloves get really sweaty and absorb smells very easily, so I recommend getting a glove deodorizer.Overall it's a really decent glove for the price.I tried both Fairtex and Yokkao on for a comparison but Twins was the most comfortable option for me.

Solid beginner pair
Bought these gloves as I started Muay Thai and didn't want to use the stinky ones from the gym. I'm 6ft 80kg and lab glove size 7.5. I initially bought a pair of 8 oz gloves but the gloves felt too tight. Returned and got sent a 10oz pair which fits snugly after putting my wraps on.Leather and padding feels genuine from what I and my friends from the Muay Thai club can tell. Design looks great but beware they are made from smaller people's hand. If you are larger than me I would suggest shopping from western brands.Delivery took several weeks as stated but I was in no rush. Was very happy when they came in. Return process was easy and customer service was good.Overall I am very happy with this purchase and smashing padwork with them. Club does not allow sparring with anything but 16oz gloves so make sure you get the appropriate weight for your needs. Light for padwork/bagwork and 16oz for sparring.

Worth Every Penny
These Twins Special Muay Thai Boxing Gloves BGVL-3 gloves are the most expensive gloves I've owned (managed to get them for £43 through receiving a gift card). They just ooze quality as soon as you hold them.I have small/medium sized hands and purchased the 16oz version, I don't tend to wear wraps at the moment but they still fit fine. They are a little tight around the fingers at first but seem to be getting better with use.

Really good quality
These are top quality gloves. Only thing I would have expected, which is not a major issue but more of a feedback, is for the gloves to fit my hand better. I am a thin guy and I don't feel my hands tight wearing those, even with wraps on. If they were a tad smaller they would be perfect.

Great Muay Thai gloves - Highly recommended.
I've been training muay thai for a long time and I've always found Twins gear to be the best quality. I have Twins shin guards and Twins shorts and they've both lasted through years of abuse.16oz gloves are well padded and comfortable, especially if you have large hands like me although they may take a few uses to fully break in and for the leather to become more supple.Anyways, these are well worth the money. Highly recommended.

Disappointed!
Twins gloves are highly regarded as one of the best: top quality, comfortable, soft padding. So, I decided to try them, and here is my extended review.First of all, it's hard to believe it's a full grain leather: The grain is not visible even after inspecting with magnification glass, it's not particularly soft and stretchy, like real leather usually is. It also has unpleasant plastic synthetic smell to it. The label inside the gloves says, "Composition leather". It's difficult to say how reliable this material is (everybody seems to be quite happy with reliability of Twins glove), but I doubt that it is breathable. Overall, compared to my other leather gloves from Pakistan, both leather and inside lining is clearly inferior.Second, the gloves are initially VERY tight even for medium hands. If you have long fingers or overall large hand, you probably won't fit inside. They are quite difficult to form a fist, just because they a very stiff - there are a lot of padding around your palm that presses on your fingers and hand hard. But if you have strong hands, you can, with enough force, still squeeze them to form a proper fist. My wife couldn't, so, these are definitely not for girls. From what I understand, this tightness and stiffness can be addressed by long break in period. I can feel that the gloves are more and more conformable with each use. You can also use golf balls to stretch them more, and this definitely works. After the break in, they should feel quite comfortable. But I personally don't like to train in uncomfortable gloves for weeks, and somebody with weaker hands may not even be able to form a proper fist in them in the first place (in order to break them in), which is very injury prone.Third, the padding. Twins are known for a soft, pillow-like padding. Well, to me this padding doesn't seem to be very soft. I'd say it's medium. Initially, the padding feels on the harder side, but I noticed that it softened up quite a bit after few uses on a heavy bag. So, I guess the padding will eventually become quite soft, but to me this quick change in softness is again indication of inferiority. Will it stay protective after a long use? Padding in my other gloves was soft right from the box, and it stayed this way after some use.The thumb position is not ideal for me, it's a bit to strait and forward. The thumb is also not protected by the main compartment, as it normally is in western boxing gloves, so a thumb injury is a risk when doing a body shots and hitting an elbow with the thumb. The knuckles area is too far back in the gloves, also not ideal. Because of this, I don't have much feedback when hitting a bug/pads. I guess this issues will improve with use, as the gloves get softer.I should mention that I have weighed them (they are labeled as 16 oz), and one is 14 oz, while the other one is 14.78. I didn't like the big difference in weight, but I do appreciate that they are light - this is a good thing. The gloves are also quite compact, they are more rounded and not as wide as some other traditional western gloves. People say they are bulky and pillow like, and I personally find that the complete opposite is true: they are well padded, but compact. They are more rounded and not as wide as my other gloves.I'm not impressed with these gloves velcro either. It seems to be ok so far, but it's not as strong as my other gloves. To summarize: it might be a good, comfortable and reliable glove, but only after long break in period. But why would you buy Twins gloves, if you can add just $15-20 more and buy gloves (of a well known brand) that are one levels above these in any regard and don't need this extended break in?..P.S.I have checked with the manufacturer, and the gloves I received are authentic Twins gloves.

Twins...special!
The best in the business. They proteçt well, good feeling, 12 oz work very well for heavy bag, pads and mitts. Even for light sparring ou technical stuff. And they are durable as well. My third pair or twins...16 onces for sparring and for persons 140 lbs and over 12 onces are perfect for everything else

Ottimo prodotto
Spedizione arrivata in anticipo.

I rarely give full stars. But these are perfect. I really out rounds in with them and they hold up. Had them for over a year, 3classes per week. Love em. They are my second pair, burned through first pair after 5 years. Great padding in right spots.

Me encantan!!

Good material. Well made
Well made. Excellent workmen ship for the curved part of top. Also like the longer strap so I can take off the glove off myself and also less chance it can be pulled off during actual match
