Rebel Yell 40th Anniversary Expanded Edition (2CD)

The second disk is really amazing. I mostly bought it just to have the remastered version of the Rebel Yell cd - most re releases that include demo versions, they are pretty raw and clunky, i was very pleasantly surprised at how good these early versions were. Most sound quite different from what ended up on the album and the quality is above average. Any Billy Idol fan would really enjoy this and its made me a bigger fan.

Another great remastered sound from the latest reissue of Billy Idol. I am excited to hear what is next on Billy's reissue series. As long as they will remaster the next one like the first and second reissued album, I will keep on buying. I like the strong punch sound, very exhilarating.

A must have for true Billy Idol fans and this collection will reel in new ones! It’s nostalgia at its best and showcases a part of the height of his career super nicely! The extras that are added to this classic are a thrill to have! Love his surprisingly nice version of, Love Don’t Live Hear Anymore, considering the switch up from the style in which that classic originated from. Sometimes remakes can make you ask, why was that done but not here. I love what he’s done with it! If it were in rotation on the airwaves enough , could be another big hit for him. This collection is truly a lovely musical journey to listen to from beginning to the end, without skipping one song!!!

I love the remastered album, I have the original one from back in the 80s and this one is even better. So glad I purchased it.

Never bought this back in the day and I’m glad to have this version instead. WOW what an incredible remaster and it’s worth buying just for the bonus tracks, a fully loaded second disc. Grateful that we still have them around and still going strong performing live 40+ years later. Long live Billy and Steven, cheers!!!

This pressing sounds very good. Clear and well balanced remastering, in fact the bass sounds deeper than I remember on original pressings. The records aren't 180g, they are standard weight vinyl. That being said, the quality of the vinyl is still very high. Pretty clean, nice and flat and housed in poly-lined paper sleeves. I didn't need to Spin-Clean these, just a dry dusting was enough. 😁The bonus disc is quite interesting as well. It's neat to hear Billy and Steve's take on "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" which was left off this album back in '84 as it had recently been recorded and released by Madonna on her groundbreaking "Like a Virgin" album.I got this for my wife for her birthday. She loves Billy Idol and needless to say, she's very happy with her gift. Highly recommended.
