Nearly miraculous
I recently inherited a 15 year old car with only 10,000 miles on it. It is in pristine condition but only has a radio. No audio jack, only a lighter. I have Spotify on my phone and have Bluetooth in my other car and they work great together but I didn't think I could do anything with this car. Anyway, I ordered this because it sounded like it might work. I'm not really tech savvy so I thought I'd ask one of my kids to hook it up. Turns out I didn't have to. It practically set up all by itself. Put it in the lighter slot, tuned radio to 100.9(Chicago area)tuned the neck device to the same number, hit play on Spotify and it worked perfectly. No static. I'm amazed. My speakers aren't great but it sure beats listening to the radio. I'm so glad I found this thing!

Decent modulator in an 18+ year old truck!
Update: It's September now, and without warning, this transmitter just stopped working. Its USB ports won't charge, either. I would have preferred a product last longer than 5 months, give or take… Lowering my rating.Since I started having to commute again, and since my truck's old enough to vote, I wanted something that would allow me to listen to the music on my phone during those otherwise dreadful trips. This modulator works reasonably well as an FM modulator: my biggest complaint is that even with Bluetooth cranked on my phone (S8+), and even with the volume turned up to 31 (the highest setting on this modulator), I still have to turn up my stereo volume to ridiculous levels. On some songs. Maybe it's asking too much for a modulator to handle compression better, but it's a minor inconvenience at best. One place where it fails is as a hands-free interface for phone conversations: the mic is borderline worthless in that regard, but I didn't get it for that purpose, so it's not a deal breaker for me. Like others have mentioned, when I shift (my truck's a manual), I'll smack my knuckles against the modulator, sometimes pausing or advancing to the next track without intending to: again, no big deal.

Hard to see during the day
When I first received this it was super hard to bend the "neck" to get the face plate facing me, it would stay facing up to the sky. It has more give now that I've had this for awhile but the "neck" still needs improvement. This is very hard to see during the day. There needs to be a brightness knob added or a way to adjust it on the consumers end. I can see it perfectly at night and it is super pretty at night just needs improvements for the daytime. Plus I've noticed the audio has gone down some now. I have my phone completely up, the bluetooth completely up, but I have to turn my volume in my car even higher now. Also, now there is a weird noise the bluetooth makes (did not drop it) while I'm playing music. Hard to describe but I always joke around with my bf that it's aliens. I wanted to love this product but those few things have made it hard to get pass.

Lots of nifty features and a great idea!
I love that you can put a microSD in this to keep your music in it and not have to connect a bunch of other stuff or bluetooth it or make it too complicated. Handy as heck. The only things I'd change would be how floppy it is when you put it in the power socket and make the mp3 player have more options so you can find music more easily than just scrolling through one song at a time. Other than that it's pretty great. Thanks!

This device works just like they said it has the memory functions
This device works just like they said it has the memory functions. Handsfree calling and all that the description says. The only thing that disappoints me is the muffled sound and makes me think to get an android based sterio for my car. I have been pairing my phone to other car's blutooth but the sound was good I think it looses quality when it gets transmitted over fm. But as it is cheap so you will be getting good value for your money.

Bad Quality
Keeps cutting our. It is so sensitive. You touch it barely and it will go out on you. Also be mindful on which car you have when you get this. Because if you have a 12 volt charger that is in the middle center where the cup holder is? You will definitely keep hitting it by mistake. And have to reconnect it again. Maybe I just got a bad unit?

Once you answer the call, you have to turn ...
Once you answer the call, you have to turn the volume all the way up on the radio to hear the caller.

So disappointed. I was so excited to get this
So disappointed. I was so excited to get this. I read all of the amazing reviews and was sold on it! But when I got it, I had to basically blast my radio just to hear the music and when I made phone calls anyone I talked to said they couldn’t really hear me, I even tried several different stations. My husband even tried it on his car and got the same results.

Good for some car models, too long for others.
Loved this product. I have a new-ish car (2016) however it will only connect to apple, and not samsung, so I had to purchase one of these. It is very easy to set up. The only trouble is that my cigarette lighter is in a bit of an awkward position, so being quite a long adaptor, it has to be forced in, and regularly slips out, causing my music to stop and I just hear fuzzy radio for a while until it reconnects. I would definitely advise taking a quick look in your car before purchasing this, as the long neck may not fit in certain car models. I have enjoyed using this product for a year, but I can no longer stand it flying out every time I take a corner or hit a speed bump because my centre console layout isn't really the best for this style of adaptor. I have purchased a new one which is shorter, and will fit in my car better, but if you have a lot of space around your cigarette lighter, I would 100% recommend this product. It has served me well!

Excellent Hands Free Kit
Received it this week (20 December 2017) and installed in my 20 year old car very quickly and easily.Only used it for one day - but so far it's excellent and does everything I need: Hands free calling and streaming music from my iphone. It's worth mentioning that it takes over a radio channel - so if you want to listen to you favourite radion stations with the unit installed you need to download a Radio App - such as Radio UK.

Great in-car audio upgrade!
Neat little device which beats the need for an expensive in-car audio upgrade. Takes a little trial and error getting the three audio levels (car radio, Perbeat device, music source device) working best together but the sound quality is good and the Call audio is excellent. Physically, unit fits a 2007 Golf where the power socket sits recessed under the heating controls

Excellent.
What an amazing bit of kit! Am completely useless when it comes to setting anything up. My husband does everything so he was STUNNED to see that I had set it up myself in seconds. We're buying one for him too. The sound quality isn't what you'd get from a cd or other direct source but is 95% which, when you've factored in the noise of the road, is all you need. It really is anazing value for money.

nice device but needs dual input.
nice device and works exceptionally well. Be aware that it only has one input mode though. so you cant have a device plugged into the audio port and then connect your phone to bluetooth. its one or the other.I was hoping to have my ipod connected via audio and then my phone connected for hands free calls if required; but you simply cant do this.other than that the build quality is good and the device works superbly well.
