These Luverne steps were a great fit.....
I have a 2003 GMC HD 2500 Crew Cab. These Luverne plastic steps were of good quality, and fit my older 3” Luverne nerf bars very well. Now with the problem I encountered. The directions said to drill a 9/32” hole in the existing front and rear screw hole. I read other reviews stating that the provided screws were easily stripped. That is correct, at least on my nerf bars. Drilling out the holes was tough as well. I didn’t have a drill bit that was tough enough, but finally was able after my third bit to accomplish the task. Some reviews I read said drilling the holes at an angle was tough. Drilling the holes on mine was easy enough, I just opened my doors and was able to access and drill out the holes without a problem. So now with the 9/32” holes, I positioned the step pads and attempted to screw in the provided screws, and the screws started to strip. I backed the screws out, and drilled the holes out one size larger. Then the holes were to big for the screws, so I used plastic anchors, by placing them in the front and rear holes, screwed the screws into the anchors, and they worked fine....

that is the type I have and it worked fine. instructions said I had to drill out hole ...
read a review that said would not work if you had the type of step that is pressed in with tabs on bottom of step.that is the type I have and it worked fine. instructions said I had to drill out hole to -- size. the body of the truck preventes any drilling straight down but the hole didn't need to be enlarged put the new pad on and tightened the supplied bolts. works fine. maybe some are different depending on when you bought them don't know but mine worked great.

Ok
Nice replacement but the screws are cheap/soft

Great cost, fit
Exact fit. The only thing though is the drill bit size seems a little too big because very easy to strip screws

Perfect fit!!
Exactly what I was hoping for. Looks like brand new step bars.

Installation not straight forward
Original steps just snapped into all four holes. Replacements are sent with screws for 2 of the holes. I like the idea but you have to drill the holes and the screws sent are softer than the rail and you will strip the threads on the screws unless you thread the new holes. The rails are harder than the screws. Need harder self tapping screws

Will fit push in step pads, use different screws
If you have the push in style steps these will align and install to replace them, if you are retrofitting push in step pads plan to use different screws than come in the box. Looks good and dont have to worry about my kid slipping on wet tubes
